2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 gil3 (5) - USA - AUG 2, 2010 does not count
Never had this particular Mexican brew before and after not being impressed by other beer SOTB (With the exception of Modelo), I reluctantly picked up a six of this.
Upon the pour, I was expecting a darker beer, but it is a clear, golden Yellow. Malty, somewhat hoppy nose. White, foamy head dissipated fast, but left decent lacing. Tasted of Vanilla, grains, cereal and slight bannana.
I must say that overall, this was a pretty impressive beer with a high drinkability factor. I will definitely pick up more of this in the future.

Not a bad beer overall, at least as good as most Mexican beers that are available around here. Nice and refreshing when thats what you want

very little foam, ordinary golden appearance (disguised by the brown bottle). smells of barley, golden wheat taste, refreshing with a nice sweet aftertaste
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 FatPhil (5970) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 19, 2010
330ml bottle (Prisma, Tallinn)
Horribly pale, brief head. Lovely peppery hoppy aroma. Crisp carbonation, soft refreshing palate. Simple sweet malty spine with some quite noticable hoppy backing it up, pleasant hops, quite fresh and herby. Finish continues those hops, and even has a bit of tingle - nice! Actually tasty - this is not a ’Pale Lager’, this is a proper pilsener.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 GKillian (525) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JUL 13, 2010
Pours pale yellow with thin white head and minor lacing. Straw aroma with a hint of malt. Balanced taste with a bit of fizz. Crisp and refreshing.
1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 GT2 (3440) - Washington DC, USA - JUL 7, 2010
Bottle. Poured a clear, deepish yellow with a fairly lively white head that settles down quickly and leaves no lace. Nose and taste is watered down corn salsa, burrito. Gross.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Frank (1966) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 26, 2010
For some reason I was expecting this to be a dark beer along the lines of Dos Equis Amber or something like that but it’s pale and Pilsener-ish and that is quite alright w/ me. I am trying this after a trip home for a couple beers from one of the best German bars in Chicago and compared to some of the fine Pilsners I had before this is... well, it’s not quite at the same level but it’s not bad at all. It’s clear golden yellow w/ a small head. An initial waft of skunk wanes rather quickly to some faint herbal hops and a hay-like husky grain character. This drinks rather light but w/ enough flavor to keep it from getting boring--good noble hop character esp. w/ a nice rounded hint of malts. Carbonation prickles across the tongue and definitely keeps this lively and refreshing tasting. This is a good beer, I think, but nothing really special to make us Americans shell out import prices for it.

Bottle at Vive Sol in Mountain View, CA. Wow, this is actually not bad for a pale lager. Great clear golden-yellow appearance with a thick lasting white head. The smell is nothing great - grainy with pale malt and a faint hint of hops. The flavor is mildly sweet as well as mildly bitter. Pale malt, hay, grain, and floral hops. Light on the palate but not too watery. Fairly crisp. For the style (which I’m not a big fan of I must say), this is not terribly bad.
