i actually really really really like this beer... you need a lime with it, like every other mexican beer. i know i’m in the minority on this one, but if i see it on the menu at a restaurant chances are, i’m ordering it.

PASTEURIZED
the best beer from Mexico, brew in the Austrian-Hungarian(Ottoman) style. similar to czech pilsener but with a bit of a bite or rough edge.
Not bad for hot days in Texas on the patio or out at the lake.
The safest bet here for a heat stabiliized pale lager, if the Pilsner Urquell is out of date, I usually grab this before I go to Singha. Unless Shiner has a special release(Kosmos Reserve, Frost(dortmunder style, etc).
Beats waiting until September for Octoberfest Marzen, which also means the fall shipments of good beer will be appearing soon.
Prost!

Poured an expected yellow. Aroma of bread and corn. Mild taste of hops. Crisp nearly bitter finish. Was more drinkable once I popped in the dreaded lime.

Heavier than Corona overall. produces a good head of foam. Nice color. slightly bitter after taste. I’d but it in the ice bucket at a party to give my guests variety.

Never had this particular Mexican brew before and after not being impressed by other beer SOTB (With the exception of Modelo), I reluctantly picked up a six of this.
Upon the pour, I was expecting a darker beer, but it is a clear, golden Yellow. Malty, somewhat hoppy nose. White, foamy head dissipated fast, but left decent lacing. Tasted of Vanilla, grains, cereal and slight bannana.
I must say that overall, this was a pretty impressive beer with a high drinkability factor. I will definitely pick up more of this in the future.

Not bad for a cheap beer, not bad at all. Not memorable either. Pours and aroma are fine, just when you taste it, you remember how low the price was.

Nice nose, straw yellow, nice head disperses to lace. Sweet/saazy aftertaste. Very reminicent of Pilsners from central Bohemia.
