3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Onslow (709) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - AUG 13, 2009
How often have I looked at this beer and passed it by… wasted oppoertunity. Pale lager look with a thin white head. Surprising hoppy aroma with malt overtones. Very well balanced flavor with a great dry and hoppy finish. This is a really first rate lager, more in the German style than the Mexican / Bahamian lagers. I guess that’s why it’s called Bohemia…

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into a tall glass.
Appearance: Clear, light yellow with bubbly white head that mostly recedes.
Aroma: Mostly hay and grass, with some spicy hops. Minimal fruitiness.
Taste: Very grassy with only a tingle of apple. Ends with a light spicy and metallic bitterness.
Palate: High carbonation, light body. Semi-dry finish.
Overall: Very light, easy drinking Pilsner. Not very exciting, but it does what it does quite well. Could drink a lot of these.

yellow pour with a white head. nothing special here, but it was at least a tollerable beer. Refreshing beer for the summer.

A: The beer pours a clear golden color with a fizzy white head that displays only mild retention.
S: Pretty nice nose to this beer. Some definite corn aromas to it but plenty of bread and malt notes to it as well. Only a hint of hop character which is lightly floral and spicy.
T: A solid sweetness to the flavor which is mostly bready in nature and has a hint of toast to it. Mild yeast and corn flavors with minimal hop bitterness and flavor.
M: Light to medium in body with a medium level of carbonation.
O: It’s been a long time since I’ve had this beer and I was very pleasantly surprised by it. Quite an enjoyable beverage.

One of the better, thicker Mexican beers. This is the one to order at authentic Mexican restaurants with a nice plate of enchiladas!

This is the best mexican beer. I order this when I find it at a mexican restaurant. To my horror and dismay, lately, I’ve been fruited with this beer. I do not need the lime wedge with this one. I’m okay with fruiting Coronas--if for nothing else, to make it interesting.
This has a nice, slight hoppy aroma, a medium yellow color. Weak head. Fresh and clean taste. Certainly far from the best beer I’ve ever had but I’m not disgusted to drink this one. I think it has a nice package design. Wish they would get rid of the annoying foil.

Medium gold color with a modest head and pretty fair lacing. Mild aroma, a little fruity and herbal. Light to medium bodied and well carbonated, slightly bready malt flavor with a good bitterness and dryish finish. If I hadn’t seen the bottle I sure wouldn’t guess it was a Mexican beer-not too shabby and worth a try.
