Goba (69) - BRAZIL - MAR 18, 2008
Copper body, white opaque foam, medium lasting one. Fresh and clear tastes, citric notes of flavor, fresh fruits ones. Oat shows itself often, but not strongly. Little to none aftertaste. Not that bitter beer, very refreshing indeed, seems to go very well with everyday meal. Nice beer.

[598-20070908] 550mL @ Sourfest 2007 (Buffalo, NY, w/ rudolf, frylock, IPFreely, jerc, swoopjones). Sweet cognac aroma with spicy pink bubblegum fruit notes. Clear, orange brown body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Sweet bubblegum fruit flavour with smoky cigarettes. Light-medium body. Interesting -- in small doses.

Thanks to Swoopjones. Gold/light amber, nose is malt, sports card bubblegum, light plastic. Flavor is bubblegum, sweet malt, sugar cane, alcohol. Sweet finish with a hint of alcohol.

Crisp yellow body with a small white head. Sweet aroma of estery bubble gum, with light alcohol notes. Similar flavour with more interesting esters and light notes of corn like grains included along with the hints of bubble gum. Bit light and watery at times, with an average to light palate. Intriguing, though a bit strange. 7/3/7/3/13-14

Bottle @ Rudolf’s Sour Tasting with Rudolf, IPFreely, Jerc & frylock. Thanks Crystal. Sweet, floral & rudolf pointed out bubblegum like. Sweet wish I found this while in Rio rather than all the Brahma. sort of excited to be the second american to rate this

Bottle: Amber colour, flowery aroma, distinct coriander, orange, citrus taste. Starts surprisingly close to an abbey, thins up a bit at the end.

Botle 550ml. Very nice beer, I can say this is only one or the best abbey beer made in Brazil. If you wanna try to buy a Duvel or Chimay here, you will see that qthe Confraria can substitute them. I bought the glass to drink this beer. Nice flavor and aroma is so good that makes me remember Brussels for a second. Dark Golden color, not so bite like others in Belgium.
