Cannette 350 ml. 5% achetée au Brésil. Couleur brune foncée, mousse beige. Arôme de grains, un peu de torréfaction. En bouche, malt, un peu de caramel. Finale sans histoire. Se boit bien.

355 ml bottle kindly shared by my beer pal, Lars Helge. Clear coca cola colored body with a fingerthick light brown head. Wooden cupboard, dark caramel on the nose. Toasted sweet, bitter and acidic. Medium to full body. Smooth to drink. Well balanced.

35cl bottle in Alphaville, SP. Contais colorant (caramel), unmalted cereals, carbohydrates, antioxidant, stabilizer. Pours dark red to mahogany with a smooth beige to offwhite head. Someting metallic and fruity on the nose. Aroma is weak of dark malts, some herbal tones and a little fiuityness.Taste is flat with some sweetness. Palate is sharp, dusty, fairly dry but harsh. Body is light enough and texture is watery. A strange mixture of ingredients for a beer.

Nota: 3 skol

Straight pour from twist-off, foil-wrapped 355ml bottle to small tumbler; best by date of February 22, 2012 printed on label (220212) Appearance (3/5): Dark in the glass, almost black, but a deep mahogany shines through when held up to the light. The head starts at about a finger, diminishes to none rather quickly, but while it’s there it’s a nice, rich khaki color. Smell (4/10): Mild in the nose, not a lot going on, but some basic barley / grain with maybe something roasty, very faint. Taste (6/10): Simple malt profile, light barley with a mild roasted note, some blackened grain action, almost a bit smoky. Very mild. Just a hint of some darker sweetness in the background. Yeast is very neutral, don’t taste it, and there’s no hop note to speak of. Mouthfeel (3): Smooth, fine bubbles coat the tongue, but they disappear pretty quickly. Body is insubstantial, and there’s no hop oiliness or anything like that—just light and smooth. Nothing special. Overall (12/20): This tastes very, very similar to regular Bohemia, but with a roasty note. I’d actually be willing to bet that it’s the same recipe, but lowering the hops and adding maybe a bit of molasses for a hint of dark sweetness, and some roasted component in the malt profile. It’s not a joyless beer, but I’m not going to go out of my way for it, either.

Very dark with a very small short lasting beige head. Aroma is light roasted with some bready notes. Taste is also lightly roasted with some hints of fruit and bread. A little watery and fizzy. A lot like most Brazilian darks with maybe a little more complexity.

Canned@pikkulintu (thanks Markku). Deep amber colour with small beige head. Aroma is mild cardboard, some slight toasted notes, some nice things as well as some dark fruityness.
