2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 yngwie (10754) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 26, 2007
Bottle. Clear, golden pour with a small, off-white head. A little cellarish, mouldish note in the aroma, but the bottle was a bit past BB-date, maybe that’s the reason. There’s also a good fruitiness, with apples and pears, and some hops, but I could wish for more of it. There’s cellar in the flavor as well, fruityness and a nice hoppiness. Medium body and a quite bitter finish. If I forget about the cellar-like aromas and flavors, it is a quite nice beer, but I want more hops in the aroma. A pilsner I could easily drink more of. 500ml bottle from BeersOfEurope. A pleasant lager, moderately carbonated with a firm and fine tickle that is on the borderline of annoying. Clean malt body with a hint of Irn Bru flavour and a shade of rust and orange juice. A feel of sourness or sharpness in the swallow - yet five months within Best Before date. An awareness of vague hop bitterness in the finish. A pale lager of little character - less hoppy than the usual Czech lager.

It’s a golden lager with a nice head and a hoppy aroma with notes of flower and caramel. The flavour is mild, lightly both sweet and bitter and it has notes of caramel. It’s a harmonic lager with a good body. 1705

A lovely beer with some traditional Bohemian features (soft maltiness, some bouquet bordering to off-flavours). Very well balanced and soft. Sweetish, rounded taste with some balancing hops. A beer that you can drink a lot of. Typical south Bohemian regional taste (Budvar yeast is used), more emphasizing the malt than the hops - somehow related to some of the sweeter beers of Bavaria.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 strings (377) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - NOV 3, 2006
Bottle in Czech. While inoffensive, pretty much nothing going on. Tasted more interesting directly after some raw garlic though.
