bottle @ Habersham Beverage / Savannah GA --- Hazy brown with a thin rim head, no lace. Very still, somewhat unattractive. Taste is sweet caramel malt with a bit of toast that becomes stronger and sweeter in the palate, reminding me of creme brulee. Carbonation provides a little balance, but not enough to square things. No problem - as a dunkel the sweet malt is the centerpiece, and this beer has that in abundance.

Kita (1189) - Koper, SLOVENIA - AUG 18, 2014
Bottle, 0.50l. Clear dark brown color with medium frothy light brown head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of caramel, roasted malt, coffee and grassy hops. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel malt, follows by bready and roasty acidity with medium bitter finish. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Very drinkable dunkel, although a bit too thin on palate...

Bottle. Dark brown body, medium head. Aroma has molasses, raisins and roast. Medium sweet malty taste with roast and some fruity molasses. Very good balance between the roastiness and fruitiness. Excellent Tmavy!

This darker version of the Regent is slightly better than the lighter version I just had. It still has the same soft body. Similar in appearance with small head almost no lace, just darker in color. Aroma is malt and caramel. Flavor is like aroma. I guess I would have it again if there is nothing better. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle - pours chestnut red with a thin brown fizzy head which struggles to form and fades to nothing fairly quickly. Aroma of roast malt, coffee and liquorice. Taste of caramel, oak and treacle with an aftertaste of brown sugar, molasses and light bitterness. High sweetness, light body, light carbonation.
