On tap at Cafe Svejk, Copenhagen. Pours black with a huge rocky tanned head. Aroma is lovely dark malts, dried fruits. Taste is powerful dark caramel, roasted nuts, chewy malty and some good bitterness. Lingering malty aftertaste, a very good Czech.

Looks great in the glass. Malt and ash taste. Holds onto the palate with an ashy taste. Good beer, I prefer something hoppier.

Bottle, bought outside the brewery in Trebon. Dark brown, almost black color. Decent but fast-fading head, slightly tan colored. Rather sweet, malty aroma, slightly roasted. Caramel. Pretty good burnt flavor, some hop bitterness, but not much, also not much sweetness, or at least it is covered by the roasted flavor. The flavor is dominated by the burnt malt, but it is medium-dry over all. Finish is very burnt and malty, with coffee and caramel. It is quite long-lasting for this type. The burnt taste remains. Dry and perfectly balanced. Medium or slightly lighter body, medium carbonation. Not terribly complex, but very good.

Pours ruby brown with small brown head; rye bready and sweet malty aroma with promising chocolate notes; light body, but carbonation gives an impression of somewhat pleasant harshness; sweetish, slightly roasty flavor gives also hints of red berries ending slightly sour and bitter.

Bottled 500ml. -Reddish/brown coloured, small to medium cappuccino head that went away fast, malty caramellish nose. Slight roasted malt, milk chocolate and caramel with sugary notes. Pleasant hoppy bitter finish. Nice Tmave, just a bit too sweet.
