I expect more fronteira a czech republic’s beer, light, low foam, flavor very similar with average beers of the type.

0.33 l bottle, at Ikea Restaurant , in Bucharest. Dark brown liquid, with burgundy hints and a short beige head. Aroma has notes of brown sugar, fresh bread, butter, raisins, dried plums, malt, roasted walnuts. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, bittersweet taste, long dry finish.

Draught. Dark brown colour with a reddish hue. Cloudy, beige head. Sweet aroma with caramel malts, toasted, nuts, grasses and bread hops. A dark, dried fruits note. Taste is sweet. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation. Lightly bitter and fruity finish with butterscotch and a toasted note. Quite enjoyable dark lager.

500 ml bottle served in a Unibroue snifter. Pours a very dark brown, clear with a thin tan head that soon reduces to a ring. Only a little bit of spotty lacing is left on the glass. Light aroma of sweet chocolate malt with hints of toffee and caramel. The flavor is a bit too sweet despite a trace of sourness. The best part is the aftertaste, where the roasted malts come to the fore. Near medium body with a good but low level of carbonation. O: A bit below average for a Czech Tmavý.

promontor (104) - HUNGARY - NOV 27, 2012
0.5l bottle from Bohémia Sörszalon. Starts with a thin creamy brown head vanishing too quickly. Dark brown body with a little red influence. Carbonation is mild, perfect for me, silky-creamy mouthfeel. Taste is on the sweet side but a hint of bitterness is also detectable. Roasted, dark chocolate and a bit if cherry. The second half of the bottle becomes slowly a bit syrupy. Drinkable, but uneven: the start is promising, the finish is disappointing.

Bottled. Poured deep brown with not much head sticking around. The aroma picked up sweet, toasty black malts and dulce de leche with vanilla and very light smoked malt accent.. sweet, but very solid for the style. The flavor found sweet black malts and vanilla at the core, with sticky caramel accents on the edges.. finished sweet and tasty. Lighter-bodied and well-balanced for the style.. good stuff.
