3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
0.5l bottle from Bohémia Sörszalon. Starts with a thin creamy brown head vanishing too quickly. Dark brown body with a little red influence. Carbonation is mild, perfect for me, silky-creamy mouthfeel. Taste is on the sweet side but a hint of bitterness is also detectable. Roasted, dark chocolate and a bit if cherry. The second half of the bottle becomes slowly a bit syrupy. Drinkable, but uneven: the start is promising, the finish is disappointing.

2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Dark brown to ruby red color (cola-like), clear, thin film of lacing on top. Medium strong sweet aroma has dark bread, syrup, ripe dark fruits. Watery feel, no carbonation, over-sweet, malty sweet finish. Watery and dull.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Dark reddish brown, cola-coloured, clear beer with little beige head. Aroma is sweet malts, little roasted malts and little coffee. Flavor is first malty sweet, then dry, ashy and roasted with little bitterness in the short finish. Palate is little thinner than medium but doesn’t appear as watery. Not bad for a czech dark lager.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hieman turhan vetinen, mutta makeus on tsekkidunkeliksi kerrankin sopiva makuuni. Tässä ei tietääkseni ole käytetty makeutusaineita.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours dark brown with a thin, short-lived off-white head. Coffee and cream aromas, alongside a metallic note. Some chocolate. Taste has good medium roasted bitterness, and some more creamy sweetness. Good mouthfeel. Enjoyed it well enough.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Typical appearance. No head. Light watery body. As expected aroma of caramel and malt. But nothing else indeed. Sweet malty taste. It’s definitely not the highlight of the style nor of the brewer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark Brown, Almost No Head, Spotty Lacing. Slight Toasted Aroma. Sweet Toasted Malt, Reminds me of Raisins, Light Toasted Bitter Finish. Rather thin Body, not Syrupy or Cloying. At 4.4% ABV, probably the lightest dark beer ever. Therefore easily Drinkable, Refreshing and Enjoyable. Its Like Kvass that has some Alcohol. Would like to try it fresh. I’d say pretty good and would like to recommend it but scared to do it. There are no production or best before dates, so you can;t tell if it is fresh or two year old skunky drain pour. Try it at your own risk.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: OCT 11, 2013 Shared a big brown bottle from Global Foods into snifters. Okay, so all I comprehended on this label was Bohemian and lager, so I expected something like a classic Pilsener, and this is absolutely not that. It poured an opaque burgundy brown colour with thin but persistent beige foam and lace. Very malty, low peppery noble hops, intensely caramelly, toasty, reminiscent of black licourice. It struck me as a fancier, smoother kvass, or a less alcoholic Baltic Porter. Heavy body, not syrupy but close, low carbonation, residual sweetness. Not at all what I expected, but very unusual and cool now that I know what Tmavý Ležák is. I liked it alot, and want to seek out others. Very tasty.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tallahassee, Fl - Killearn Liquors - 500 ml bottle. Pours a deep dark brown with a quickly dissipating bubbly thin khaki colored head. Aroma is somewhat neutral with some light nutty and molasses notes. Flavor is decidedly sweet with some nutty notes, a brief hint of chocolate, some brown sugar and a molasses-like finish. Thick enough mouthfeel for the style.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Typical central European half liter bottle with a boring label. Coffee colored beer, filmy head. Sweet malty, damp straw aroma. Interesting flavor, but I’m not in love. Dilute cocoa, unfermented malt, crude sugars, moderate astringency, mossy/herbal tones. Medium body, faint horehound herbal notes in the finish. Underwhelming. I have not been impressed with this brewery thus far. Killearn Liquors.
