12oz can in a stem glass. Pours very dark brown with a thick, beige head. Aroma of bitter dark malts and water. Flavor the same, with metal and grossness. Average texture. I feel bad for people in Utah, especially those who think this is what good beer is and give it high ratings.

Pours an almost black color with thin off white head. Aromas of roast, coffee, chocolate, and molasses. Tastes of medium sweetness and a light bitterness to finish it off. This beer really surprised me. I enjoyed this beer contrary to many other reviews on here.

12oz can from Douglass88. Dark mahogany with a light mocha head that mostly disappears. Pleasant roasted malt, faint coffee grinds. little musty, little sweet. Moderate body, mild carbonation, faintly sweet, becomes a little malty, flat and one dimensional on the finish which takes away from what would be an otherwise tasty beer.

Burnt/coffee-like roasted aroma and flavor. Nicely balanced with some caramel malt flavor. A little tartness. Mild bitterness. Distinct lager yeast flavor; not prominent really, but there.

Sampled on 10/12/2012 at GABF. This bock pours a deep reddish black color from the tap. Medium sized off-white foamy head. The aroma is chocolates, roasty malts and slightly sweet. A medium bodied bock. The malts are roasty, chocolate and slightly sweet. The hops are earthy. Decent carbonation. Perhaps a touch thin tasting. Seems more of a Schwarzbier than a bock. Mouthfeel iss full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Dark beer out of the can with some cola colors around the edges. Whisp of khakhi bubbles for a head. Nose of wet grain and something tart. Lots of strange tartness in this beer. Some roast grains, wet bread and tart cherry notes. This is a really odd bock.

Great beer. Aroma of crisp roasted malt. Flavor is creamy with a hint of nutmeg like spices and just a little bit of funky kick. Great for a dark beer that isn’t too heavy to session. I have bought this before and will do so again.

Absolutely nothing special, smells strongly of malt, and tastes almost tart. Utterly skippable
