Cherny (english interpretation) means "black" in Czech (actually cerné). Bock (meaning "goat" in German) has it’s roots coming from the north of Germany near the town of Einbeck. Over the years it made it’s way south to the Bavarian/Bohemian borders allowing brewing artisans to perfect it’s recipes. Our bock is a Czech rendition of the great beer combining the best of ingredients. Very deep black-red in color, Cherny Bock is a rather surprising dark single bock lager with a gentle bitterness, a lightly hoppy aroma and a roasted malt flavor to appeal to all your senses. A true gem to be discovered by true specialty beer lovers.

Can. The look is dark, brown to black in color, and has a tan head. The taste is malty, roast, toast, burnt, and ok. The smell is the same.

Can thanks to Sledutah. This one surprised me. Pours a deep brown black with a light tan head that leaves an intricate lacing. Huge roasted notes of coffee and some caramel notes. Taste is slightly sweet and light. There is a slight tang to it. High carbonation levels and lighter body. Very easy drinking.

Not much flavor mild for a dark beer. Good head okay. Better than many but yeast is priority ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz can in a stem glass. Pours very dark brown with a thick, beige head. Aroma of bitter dark malts and water. Flavor the same, with metal and grossness. Average texture. I feel bad for people in Utah, especially those who think this is what good beer is and give it high ratings.

Pours an almost black color with thin off white head. Aromas of roast, coffee, chocolate, and molasses. Tastes of medium sweetness and a light bitterness to finish it off. This beer really surprised me. I enjoyed this beer contrary to many other reviews on here.

12oz can from Douglass88. Dark mahogany with a light mocha head that mostly disappears. Pleasant roasted malt, faint coffee grinds. little musty, little sweet. Moderate body, mild carbonation, faintly sweet, becomes a little malty, flat and one dimensional on the finish which takes away from what would be an otherwise tasty beer.

Burnt/coffee-like roasted aroma and flavor. Nicely balanced with some caramel malt flavor. A little tartness. Mild bitterness. Distinct lager yeast flavor; not prominent really, but there.
