2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 floydslip (21) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 17, 2013
Cloudy gold colored beer with an effervescent white foamy head. Nose is yeasty with a little spice and citrus. Flavor is crisp up front with medium bitterness that develops with some lemon flavor and slightly sour yeast. It’s a refreshing beer that is different from the Czech pilseners I’ve had because of the sourness and lack of lingering hops. Decent beer, but I wouldn’t drink too many of them.

Can from Douglas88. Thanks! Pours lightly hazed gold with a huge billowy head. Nose is spicy and herbal, moderate sweetness from the malt though is missing that kiss of biscuit. Very clean and hop forward. On tasting medium high bitterness. Distinct buttery notes are distracting. Lacks the rich malty sweetness. spicy and slickness on the tongue. Bitterness is a bit aggressive as well.

From the can, solid pilsener, clear yellow pour with a nice clean yeast profile. Good for the style.

Nice light and fresh with some good hop intensity. Salid depth too. One of the better American pilsners you’ll find.

Can poured a clear gold with a lasting white head. Aromas of straw, yeast and bread dough. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of bread dough and lemon zest with a smooth dry lingering citrus finish.

Golden beer out of the can with a light haze. Short lived fluffy white head. Light spicey nose with some lemongrass. LIght, crisp beer with some buscuit and white bread, along with bitter orange and lemon notes. The finish has a long metallic bitterness in it. Good with chili.

Draft at the Timber Mine in Ogden. Strange place, decent beer. It went well with steak but overall it just seems a little non-nondescript. Fine
