On tap at Kickbacks for the RBWG. Great aroma, strong oak with raisins; stong alcohol in the body. Become better and stronger in the warming.

Draft. Overly sweet aroma. Standard brown color. Not bitter at all, in fact, too sweet.

caramel and hint of cocoa with a bit of vanilla and a dominant taste of plastic. smooth with substantial and frothy head with essence of scratch. still tastes like someone took whatever was handy and made beer. someone who really knows what they are doing.

Pours a hazy brown on tap with little to no head or lace. Aroma is bourbon vanilla sweetness up front, hint of roasty caramel malt behind it. Taste is big on the bourbon for sure, very nice, sweet and boozy. One of the best beers I’ve had from them.

Draft. Poured clear brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted malt and bourbon wood aroma. Medium body and a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bourbon sweet flavor with a medium bourbon sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Enjoyed several pints at the brewery during the Third Anniversary Celebration. It was the regular Dukes Brown Ale aged in Woodford Reserve Bourbon barrels. The regular beer is a decent drink and the bourbon barrel aging adds a nice flavor. It was a great party, an all-day affair with $2 pints, and plenty of food catered by Jolly Mon Catering. Hundreds of people filled the parking lot and had a great time. I’m already looking forward to next year’s celebration.

UPDATED: AUG 10, 2012 Aroma is sweet and nutty. Appearance is a deep brown. Taste is sweet but roasty. You can taste smoke and caramel hints. Complex taste and full on the palate.

Keg at Kickbacks, RBWG - thanks Matt! Pours clear, dark brown with a light, beige cream head. Nose holds dark fruits, butterscotch, toffee. Medium sweet flavor with mild dryness, lightly tangy dark malts, bits of alcohol, some rich bread. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, some sticky sugars, dark berries, apple, pineapple. Novel.
