Nutty but like their other beers, has a prominent fresh mashy graininess. Clean fermentation profile.

Just a boring amber. If Newcastle is your beer, go for this, although this is a bit hollowed than Newcastle.

I have to disagree with my good friend on this one. I find it fascinating. The aroma is very yeasty giving it a cheesy doughy quality with plenty of malt. The appearance is golden with a large head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is thin but OK. Overall a really good beer.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Palidor19 (2386) - Brandon, Florida, USA - JUL 9, 2011
Bland and unfullfling. Both the malt and hops give too much brewing water flavor instead of beer. While the lively carbonation is soft there overall taste is uninspiring.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 10/20 raradel (94) - Greenville, South Carolina, USA - APR 18, 2011
Good brew that is drinkable but not bland. I drink this at Estreet in Riverside during the summer when it is hot outside, I could mow through a few of these during happy hour. It goes down clean too.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 That1Guy (1516) - Lyons, Colorado, USA - APR 9, 2011
Part of a flight at the brewery. Pours a clear yellow. Not much amber in this amber ale. Not much to speak of in flavor or aroma. Both pretty bland with some sweet malt and a hint of hops. Not a very exciting beer.

Draft. A copper brew with white head. Malty scent. Taste is bready with some ginger? A nice amber.
2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 hopscotch (7526) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JAN 10, 2010
Draft… Mostly clear, golden ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Decent retention. The nose offers medium-roast grain, warm mash and butterscotch. Light to medium-bodied with fizzy carbonation. Well-balanced, but bland. Decent bitterness. Crisp, raspy finish.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Ibrew2or3 (4914) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - SEP 1, 2009
On tap at Bold City. It poured a bit of a departure from amber with more of a deep gold body supporting a white head of foam. The aroma is mild in strength bringing up tepid notes of earthiness, malts and little else. The taste is sweet with malts and then it becomes mildly roasty with a thin layer of caramel ‘round about midway. It gets a bit biscuit like as the finish approaches. If there are any hops in this beer there are at just the noticeable level and fail to add any balance to the layers of malty sweetness.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 sebletitje (4391) - Enghien, BELGIUM - AUG 16, 2009
Tap@ the brewery.
pours golden, white head.
Aroma, malty, light roast and hints of hops.
Flavor, roasted malts, some light hints of coffee and light hops.
As with the rest of the beers by Bold City, it seems a little one dimensional and thin in body.
