Hazy golden yellow beer with a small to medium white head. Good aroma with wheat, banana, and yeast. Flavor is good - has the fruity, yeasty, and wheaty character but not much tartness. Nice medium body. A very enjoyable hefe, but having just returned from Germany and enjoying countless authentic hefe weizens, I didn’t think it matched the German style exactly. Didn’t matter, it was an excellent brew. tarheels86 (745), Washington DC, USA

Pours a beautiful, radiant, cloudy yellow with a small, white head that leaves some okay lacing and has okay retention. Very nice aroma of fresh bananas, wheat, yeast, missing the spices typical of the style. Only a bit of vinegar in the nose- it must be something with the water Bold City uses but 99% of their offerings get a big apple cider vinegar aroma. Taste reminds me of Franziskaner but lacks the spice complex. Very refreshing, fruity, yeasty. An excellent effort. raradel (33), Greenville, South Carolina, USA

Too bad but here are the highlights, great palate and wonderful traditional flavor, not too much fizz, cloudy and bright. Very traditional is my only issue, though I am sure they will spin off from here in the future.Great beer, but who is Fritz?
