The American IPA is a different soul from the reincarnated IPA style. More flavorful than the withering English IPA, color can range from very pale golden to reddish amber. Hops are typically American with a big herbal and / or citric character, bitterness is high as well. Moderate to medium bodied with a balancing malt back bone.

Can. Pours a hazed treacle amber with a medium sized white head. Citrus on the nose, soft malt. Medium bodied, gentle malt and light citrus. A touch of sweetness before finishing with a long pithy bitterness.

A very very very malty IPa. Light hop aroma. Sweetness lots of body. An overall average to below average ipa. But a nice beer for the beach. Just not a crafty beer.

Draft sample. Poured hazy copper color with an average frothy white head that was lasting with good lacing. Moderate balanced aroma. Medium to abundant body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid beer.

Pours a slightly hazy golden color with white head. Citrus and a little grass on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a hint of malt. Seems to be a lighter IPA, but still good.

Clearish marzen-looking beer with a thick, very light beige head. Aroma struck me as plasticky orange. Starchy, poofy mouthfeel. Citrus peel, a little astringent, oddly hopped. Medium body. ABC Liquors, Betton.

12 oz can Wrecker’s Sports Bar in Kissimmee, Florida. The pour is a slight hazed orange golden, with a ½ inch off-white head. The aroma is sweet malt, pine, and some toasted citrus. The taste matches the nose, subdued flavors of caramel sweet malt, hops of pine and citrus. Clean. The palate is medium bodied, average carbonation and lingering malt sweet and pine hop. Solid.

can. hazy dark gold under a frothy white head. not much aroma for an american style ipa. flavor has some bitterness, some citrus, some floral but no real standout in any category. medium bodied. it drinks nice and easy but just not catching my attention. i was actually thinking it fit better as a english style ipa.
