3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 PhillyBeer2112 (2361) - Oviedo, USA - NOV 26, 2008
Draft at the brewery. Cloudy copper. FIrm creamy head. Aroma lightly hoppy - resiny and lightly citric. Pretty strongly bitter. Malt is firm and gives some body but there’s not much flavor from it, its just there - bready if anything.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 aracauna (2691) - Georgia, USA - MAY 26, 2012
Okay. This rating is qualified. I really like this beer. The problem is that for an IPA, it’s really not very hoppy. More like a great APA.
2.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 getjustin (6) - - DEC 3, 2011 does not count
Thick, pillowy head with very little hop aroma. Rich golden color with some haze. Bottled conditioned but properly poured. Flavor is unlike any IPA I’ve ever had. Less citrus and more of a rich honey and melon flavors with a sharp, quick bitterness. Not bad, but nothing I’d seek out again.

Part of a flight at the brewery. Also grabbed a pint of this. Nice orange color. Aroma has some nice citrus notes in it. A decently bitter rush in the finish. A decent, drinkable ipa. Not bad.

I don’t usually do not like IPA’s but this was pretty good for its class. Definitely looking forward to the aged bourbon IPA MM.

Bottle at DC local tasting. Bright amber orange color, large off white head. Dectnly bitter IPA, not too exciting, but not boring either. Very drinkable.

UPDATED: JUL 19, 2010 #700. Draft at Bold City. What a great place to have #700! What a beer as well. Cloudy gold with white head, lacing. Scent is hops. Taste is a fantastic hoppy bitter bite, green as the wife says and frowns.
UPDATE: bomber pours a hazy orange with frothy white head. It is an IPA but there is a spicy thing going on here that I did not detect in the draft at the brewer. This is more like a 3.2 imho
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ditmier (1509) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAY 3, 2010
2010 Bottle - Thanks tarheels86!! - Pours a hazy golden orange with a frothy off white head...aroma is incredibly floral, light citrus, caramel, clean and grassy, little spicy yeast tucked in there as well...flavour is fruity and malty up front but quickly gives way to a biting, resinous hop bitterness..tangerine and citrus, grainy grit....finish is a lingering bitterness, pretty tasty...
