Bottle shared at Bold City during RBWG 2013 - big thanks to the owner for cracking it open! Pours clear, yellow-gold with a fine, foamy head. A bit of boozy pale malts in this guy, some caramel. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Decent warmth to finish, bready malts, alcohol, toasty sugars, further caramel, rich cereal. Interesting. OK.

Appearance: Clear golden with a medium sized white head and some lacing
Aroma and flavors of malts, yeast and wheat
Decent, smooth. I’m surprised this is 10%, didn’t taste anywhere near that.

355mL floating around RBWG bus. Thanks to mlunger I think. Pours a clear, sparkling gold. Decent head. Nose is cinnamon schnapps, alcohol, rum, big butterscotch and caramel. Taste is very boozy, sugar, grenadine, a bit fusel and headache inducing. Almost like a craft malt liquor.

Bottle thanks to drowland and the RBWG! Pours a hazy orange with fluffy off-white head and light lacing. Aroma of corn, grass, bits of yeasty esters. Taste follows, sweet and light, alcohol well hidden. Not so hot, but easy to drink.

Trade with drowland - thanks! Pours a murky medium copper with a semi-fluffy snow white head. Aroma has a hint of spice, orange peel. Flavor has a hint of maple syrup, some yeasty notes, a bit of spice and finishes with an odd flourish that reminds me of drinking milk after eating cranberry sauce. Thick enough mouthfeel, 10.5% ABV hidden well.

December 2012. On tap at Bold City. Hazy orange pour with a nice off-white head that sticks and laces decently. Big sweet aroma with pale malts, corniness, oranges, and a touch of apple. Rich pale malty flavor with a touch of alcohol, sweetness, corn, and apples. All in all, not bad, really. It’s surprisingly light and drinkable, much like regular Killer Whale, but at 10%. Be careful with this bad boy!

Bold city, thank you for the exciting new beer! Not that I’m not excited whenever the wife brings some Riverside golden-flow home! This is basically a beefed up Killer Whale, and it delivers a great drinkable imperial cream which I do not see often! Great style and I am sure hard to balance. If you are in the Jax area, this is a must try from a consistently good group of people! Thanks BCB!

Pours a muddied yellow with little to no head. Aroma is banana and sweet fruits. Taste is more banana and a lot of sweetness with a pretty thick mouthfeel. Not as drinkable as most others of the style I’ve had.

On draft at Bold City. Pours a mostly clear yellow-amber with a creamy white head. Nose is banana, sweet malt, tropical fruit, and syrupy malt with big sweetness with bits of booze for just over 10%. Flavor is similar- booze, banana, tropical fruit, and a syrupy mouthfeel. Interesting beer, but a bit boozy for cream ales.
