Slight tangy flavor...not sweet...sulfite taste?? Slight hint of Apple on finish ...light...

First tasted this from the bottle in early October when i stopped at the cider works on a self-guided tour of breweries along 151. Have had it several times since. Flavor is very light, somewhat floral, with a slightly tart apple finish and crisp carbonation. Not your typical cider, more reminiscent of a semi-dry sparkling wine. Very refreshing on a warm day.

Picked this up at a grocery store in Nellysford, just down the street from the cidery - we were going to hit up the place but missed it by about an hour. Poured a light, pale green-yellow color with almost no head to speak of. Aroma was some tart apple. Flavor was light apple flavors. A little dry, touch of sweetness in there too. Decent.

Bottle. Clear yellowish color. Some sweetness, appple juicy, and tart. Regular cider beer.

Bottle. Clear pissy yellow. Fizzy soda pop, apple juice, some sweetness, and lightly tart. Boring and simple.

Clear golden coloured body with a thin, one centimetre tall white head and zillions of bubbles rising from the bottom. Aroma of pale malt, apples, grapes and a hint of yeast - not great, but decent. Light-bodied; Nice crisp apple notes with a lot of sugars, some alcohol flavours and a good pale and fragrant apple and pear note to the flavour. Aftertaste shows a slightly herbal and grassy finish, but the apples (granny smith or gala) show some good qualities and a pleasant finishing sweetness. Overall, a nice cider that is made from local grapes and supports the local economy - sounds great to me. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Trader Joe’s in Falls Church (Bailey’s Crossroads) on 17-November-2012 for US$1.67 sampled at home in Washington on 23-November-2012.

Bottle at fireworks - pours a sparkling pale yellow-green with a quickly vanishing head. Aroma is very light tart apple. Taste is a refreshing mild green apple with some brightness on the initial attack. The finish is dry. It’s on the watery side. Overall, middle of the road, but better than many of the national brands.

Serving: Draft. It pours almost white with a short lived, small white head. The nose is fairly straight forward apple juice. The flavor is like a slightly less sweet commercial apple juice. Very middle of the road for the style but not offensive.
