12oz bottle, shared by Lindsey. Labeled 4.7%. She said there was also a green apple variety that she didn’t bring, besides this one... I remember the bottle being labeled simply "Bold Rock", so I’m assuming this is the right beer. Clear golden color. Thin bubbly white head. Very little lace sticks. Nice fresh crisp apple aroma. Reminds me of the fuji and gala apples I like to eat. Sweeter taste, not too sweet. Medium body. Light to moderate more crisp carbonation. Lightly dry texture. Solid cider.

At the DC Craft Beer Festival. Poured a very pale light yellow-green color, clear, virtually no head. Aroma was a lot of sweet apples, crispness. Not too sweet, but not too dry. Easy to drink. Actually quite enjoyable to me.

Bottle sample @ Bold Rock. The pour’s light gold with a tiny head. The nose is more mellow than Bold Rock’s Virginia Apple. Somewhat earthier, less tart. The taste is red apple, some compost, sugary candy. Soft body, fine carbonation. Decent.

This poured a very light yellow color with a white head. Aroma was of fresh red apples, light champagne. Flavor was similar, but a bit too sweet for my liking. Seems like sugar was added.

Location: Draft at the Blue Mountain, 11/21/12

Aroma: It has a sweet apple juice nose, and really nothing else
Appearance: It pours a clear golden color with a small head and light white lace
Flavor: Just like the nose, the flavor is all apple juice and rather sweet
Palate: The body of this one is light, and there’s some average carbonation to it as well
Overall Impression: I wasn’t a big fan, it was too sweet for me.

Sampled side by side with the virginia apple. Both pour a nice clear pale yellow, but this one is just a slightly darker hue. Nice cider, and a touch on the sweet side for sure. But not sugary. Not too much. Has more of a floral quality than the other, and not quite the sharp bite on the firnish. Just the right amount i’d say. I’d rather give this to a girl than a woodchuck.
