Formerly Egils Premium.
Egils Premium beer is the product of a unique effort that has been the characteristik mark of The Egill Skallagrímsson Brewery for a whole century. The production process is longer, the malt is masked twice and fermantation is slower and last but not least Icelandic barley is used. Altogether this gives Egils Premium a distinct quality of softness and full-bodied taste.

Blond color. Some malt aroma and flavor; the mouthfeel is quite round for an industrial Lager; ordinary bitterness.
Not too bad.

Bottle, after our Blue Lagoon swim in gale-force winds and driving needle-like sleet. I drank this straight from the bttle, so I’m going to assume it has a standard gold lager appearance. Clean grains, light, with a kiss of grassy hops and a touch of metal in the finish.

Not bad aroma for this style. Pours a medium dense head, pale golden colour. Semi sweet and rather filling taste with a thicker then normal mouthfeel for this style. Not bad at all.

A simple ester-heavy pale lager with notes of grain and gum and fruit cocktail and minerals and metal. Light body, mostly clean, low bitterness, saccharine sweetness. No major flaws or faults, just basic and boring. From tap at K Bar in Reykjavik.

Ljus tråkig lager som inte smakade något. Dåligt med kolsyra och bara väldigt trist!
