3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JorisPPattyn (6725) - Antwerpen, - SEP 24, 2008
Towering yellowish tinted head over clear golden beer; end of bottle yeasthaze. Vegetable nose, beets, green fruit, perfumed, gliding into sweet malts. Dull sweet flavour, with a slight but present spicy bitterness, faintly herbal as well. Warming up, faint reminiscences of DMS. Rather spritzy MF, bit overcarbonated, light body, rather slick. Dull. As befitting the "fair trade", IMHO.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 BlackHaddock (1709) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 18, 2012
Aug 2010: Formally known as ’Oxfam Blonde’ this beer was obtained from the Oxfam shop in Brugge and brought back home to review.
Poured into a ’Duvel’ glass: Looked like a slightly darker Duvel actually, huge white head of large bubbles and an almost clear body, but more amber than duvel gold.
The aroma was a bit of a let down, some yeast esters but very little else.
The beer was crisp, tart and well carbonated, but lacking in taste somewhat. Yeasty, with a hop bitterness hidden away behind the fizziness of the carbonisation.
Drinkable, but no classic, ingredients from Bolivia, Costa Rica and Thailand, a fairtrade beer!

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 MoritzF (7342) - Bochum, GERMANY - JAN 23, 2011
(bottle, 33cl) Clear, golden colour with a tall and slightly off-white foamy head. Sweet and slightly sour-fruity aroma with notes of papaya and slightly perfumed (Indian-like) flowery notes. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied at most with a lively carbonation. Fruit-accented and slightly malty taste with shy spicy notes; almost slim, fruity and shy bitter finish. Not really convincing. 10.I.11
