COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Dark Brown with low head. Licorice, dark fruit. Not really roasted or burnt. Very sweet for a stout. I detect no hops. Chinook and Cascade...? Where ar you? Body is medium and along with the huge sweetness it comes out a Little watery. This is tasty stuff and easy drinking though I think it will turn out too sweet in larger portions.

Bottle at home, from an IP trade with Surrey’s #1 rater, 05/05/14. Black with a good sized than covering that thins and retains. Nose is light roast, dark berry fruit tang, toffee, earthy cocoa. Taste comprises light smoke, toffee fudge, light cocoa, dark berry fruit, hoppy backnotes. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation with a little prickle, slightly watery, sweet licks in the close. Ok stout, perhaps a little overly thin and sweet at times.

500ml bottle thanks to onkelgobber’s friends. Dark brown with a thin tan head. Milk chocolate aromas, not much else, thin. Taste add something smoky, but still a tad thin. Punches below its weight. A bit dull.
