A deep amber beer with a strong white head. A sharp, hoppy nose initially, that mellows with the addition of sweet malt and caramel. The taste is dry and hoppy, and again, there is a hint of sweet malt towards the end, the finish is dry and slightly tart, and the aftertaste is long and dry on the mouth. Bottle, purchased from the Beers of Europe, Setchey, Norfolk.

500ml bottle (One Pint, Helsinki, Oktoberfest 2008)<br /> Slightly lagery and dusty aroma, a touch sweet. Decent burntness in the taste. Some perfume in aroma too. Papery hints in taste later. Not dry enough, or nutty enough, but pretty OK.

On tap @ In de Wildeman. Clear amberbrown beer, tan head. Aroma of malts, caramel, bitter hops and butter. Flavour is dry, bitter, a bit caramel and some roasted malts. A bit thin. Didn’t enjoy this one.

Bottle: Poured a dark brown with a tan color head, some lacing. Aroma is sweet and caramel. Taste is a crusty nail very bitter with a sorta dry sweet caramel finish.
