StueyD (590), King’s Lynn, Norfolk, Norfolk, England Feb 28, 2006 A deep amber beer with a strong white head. A sharp, hoppy nose initially, that mellows with the addition of sweet malt and caramel. The taste is dry and hoppy, and again, there is a hint of sweet malt towards the end, the finish is dry and slightly tart, and the aftertaste is long and dry on the mouth. Bottle, purchased from the Beers of Europe, Setchey, Norfolk.

Slightly lagery and dusty aroma, a touch sweet. Decent burntness in the taste. Some perfume in aroma too. Papery hints in taste later. Not dry enough, or nutty enough, but pretty OK. JK54B (501), Finland Dec 28, 2008 A bottle tasted at one Pint Pub. Mild malty nose. Pale beige head. Dark copper brown colour. Malty hoppy taste. mjs (741), Helsinki, Finland Dec 10, 2008 Bottle at One Pint Pub, Helsinki, on 2008-11-14. Amber and clear. Small white head. Light aroma of roasted malts with hint of caramell. High carbonation in dry and medium bodied palate. Roastedness, hops and some grass in taste. Borresteijn (721), Amstelveen, Netherlands Sep 9, 2008 On tap @ In de Wildeman. Clear amberbrown beer, tan head. Aroma of malts, caramel, bitter hops and butter. Flavour is dry, bitter, a bit caramel and some roasted malts. A bit thin. Didn’t enjoy this one.
