Ungstrup (29987) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - FEB 16, 2008
Bottled. An unclear golden-amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is very sweet with notes of fruit and some notes of vitamins. The flavor is sweet with strong ntoes of straw and medium notes of malt, leading to a dry bitter finish where the straw note lingers around.

Bottle, 4.9%. Citric aroma with OK rough hoppiness. Cloudy orange/grey colour. Big, stable, creamy, tan head. The flavour has a very faint hint of fine hop aroma. Apart from that, the hops are rather rough and uncompromising. OK, but cheap-tasting hops. The yeast gives a nice mouthfeel. Gets a little chunky at the bottom.

Hint of coriander. Over the palate heavy bitter cardboard and wet grass. Medium bodied with a light dry texture and a soft carbonation. Flavor was light bitter with a hint of sweetness. Bitter grassy finish.

50cl swing-top bottle thanks to der Doppelbock (Sebastian). Cloudy, unfiltered, dark yellow pour. Small white head. Nose of yeast, malt, a bit citrusy. Taste: nice malt profile, musty, very yeasty but not in a bad way. Bitter, lip-licking on the back-end-alcohol is faintly noticeable. Mouth is foamy, full, and flavorful going down. A nice beer-wish I some more of these for the hot Houston summer.
