A hazy dark amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, and so is the flavor.

Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of pivnizub. Appearance: It pours a beautiful dark nut brown beer with a tall, nicely remaining creamy beige head which leaves a beautiful lace. Aroma: Strong complex nose of vanilla, walnut, candy, sage, lemon peel, mocha and tobacco: Plenty of character and deeply, incredibly inviting. Flavor and palate: There is a subtle bite to this beer. Slightly astringent. Caramel, candy, apricot, peach, sage, lemon peel, tobacco and rosemary showing up. Great yeast profile. Good bitterness. Medium bodied. Impressive balance. Long dry finish which is reminiscent of caramel, candy, mocha, sage and green tea. Overall impression: A wonderful altbier. Complex and extremely pleasant. Thanks a lot pivnizub!

Bottled (from Cracked Kettle). Ambery brown colour with mediumsized beige foamy head. Leaves some lace. Aroma is mildly toasted malts along with some wooden and herbal notes. Flavour is quite much the same along with mild earthy and caramelly notes as well. Semi-dry finish.

Bottle 50 cl, drank it with some friends while sitting in the park. Pours a cloudy brown with a medium head and a malty aroma. A very smooth drinking alt, it seems I’m really into this style. Why do we have all these crappy pilseners as session-beers and no alt-biers?

Gravity at Zeitgeist Bier Mania Oktoberfest 08. Cloudy unfiltered dark brpwn with an off white head. Earthy but with good pure malt and an oily german hoppiness. Decent.
