| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Nov 10, 2009 Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of pivnizub. Appearance: It pours a beautiful dark nut brown beer with a tall, nicely remaining creamy beige head which leaves a beautiful lace. Aroma: Strong complex nose of vanilla, walnut, candy, sage, lemon peel, mocha and tobacco: Plenty of character and deeply, incredibly inviting. Flavor and palate: There is a subtle bite to this beer. Slightly astringent. Caramel, candy, apricot, peach, sage, lemon peel, tobacco and rosemary showing up. Great yeast profile. Good bitterness. Medium bodied. Impressive balance. Long dry finish which is reminiscent of caramel, candy, mocha, sage and green tea. Overall impression: A wonderful altbier. Complex and extremely pleasant. Thanks a lot pivnizub! oh6gdx (9296), Vasa, Finland

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 27, 2009 Bottle 50 cl, drank it with some friends while sitting in the park. Pours a cloudy brown with a medium head and a malty aroma. A very smooth drinking alt, it seems I’m really into this style. Why do we have all these crappy pilseners as session-beers and no alt-biers? bobinlondon (854), Harrow, Greater London, England
