0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 duff (5483) - St, Margarets, - DEC 17, 2003
Was kind of excited to hear that a beer was being brewed in my hood. But i then found out it was brewed by the Blue Tongue brewery (in Newcastle- a couple of hours away) under licence. Bottle has a picture of a surfer getting barreled, totally awesome dude..... pale yellow appearance, bland, lightly sweet malts, with zero flavour at the end, watery, thin palate. Pretty much a beer for tourists or yuppie types to drink.

quite boring, tastes like most commercial "blonde" beers on the market these days. does have a subtle lemon flavour to it
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Pyobon (567) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - NOV 28, 2008
Bottle. Pale amber / yellow with no head. Very faintly malty aroma with a hint of steeliness. Light body and medium carbonation. Watery taste, especially in finish. Sharpish vegetably with slight maltiness and no bitterness. I suppose it is refreshing and easy to drink, but it is not a good beer (very disappointing for Blue Tongue).

Bottle is a different design than the photo-- clear, with a see-through label. Anyway, pretty average pale lager fare, a little more grainy than most but really just bland in the end.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 bluevegie (2926) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - APR 17, 2007
Bondi Blonde, Low Carb Lager. Pale clear golden body with a short white head. Grainy alcohol nose and the taste is what you expect from a low carb lager - not much. Thin and watery.
1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 ALLOVATE (1705) - Butler, WA, AUSTRALIA - MAR 26, 2007
Wow, I felt soo Awstralian tastin’ this darl’s, it was heav’n! It poured that dull gold, same colour as the burnt out Sunbird out back. No head bar some mid arvo whitewash on the extremities. Wet togs at the salty swimming pool on the nose, sadly joined by its posh brother, oohh-la-la, chlorine! Taste is sadly beer-box cardboard and sickly, burnt ’corn-flake crackel’s’ caramel, moving towards a little bit of Bondi beach in its brine dipped peanut flavour that holds form mid-palate and long into the swalla’. Lingers longer than a pep talk from the in-laws, and equally stays beyond the welcome mat. Its washed out thin but it holds ground like ’Chopper’ Read, but unlike Mark this one I can’t ’ave a laugh with. (33cL, 15/10/07, Cellarbrations, Guildford)

In the bottle from a Katoomba bottle shop. Hazy pale golden yellow with a thin white head. Mildly skunked aroma. Grainy wheat flavor and a thin watery body.

I didn’t mind this at all. Lots of citrus flavours and some wheatiness. No head and a yellow pale colour.
2.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 voota (765) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - APR 17, 2006
Small white head, sitting on a slightly cloudy golden beer. Stale ’infected’ aroma. Nothing much to this beer, thin and sweet with a grassy finish.
Very poor.
