2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 degbert (668) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAY 12, 2012
Bottle. Company’s in Houston, brewed in Wilkes-Barre, PA; this does not fill me with confidence, as does the frat-boy-humor sniggering name. That said, it pours gold and cloudy with a quick-fading head. The nose is candy pineapple with very little phenolic action. There’s a bit more Belgian on the palate, along with a faint medicinal/musky bitterness and a note that reminds me of nothing so much as generic tomato soup. Finish is muddy and slightly acetic. Just not good.
0.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 rougeau13 (1216) - Texas, USA - APR 25, 2012
Hazy, dirty orange juice color with no head. Aroma of caramel, cupcake icing, super sweet fruit, and mild Belgian yeast. Tastes like candy corn. Gross. Light-medium bodied yet oddly syrupy. Dear lord that’s terrible. Horrendous drain pour. Definitely NOT giving me a boner.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 oRos (169) - sacramento, California, USA - APR 7, 2012
Boner from this bottle seemed a little flat. Has a budwieser taste with a sligt honey. I could produce a better boner
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 BeerBoxer (226) - Sacramento, USA - APR 7, 2012
Pours gold with no head. Flavor is flat and a bit stiff for a boner! Not a very good boner. Its no Ron Jeremy.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 thooper41 (488) - Oregon, USA - FEB 23, 2012
12oz bottle: Appearance is a cloudy golden brown with minimal head. Aroma is almost nonexistent, but mostly malt. Taste is nothing spectacular, just malty with a hint of sweetness.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 dfinney23 (510) - Houston, Texas, USA - JAN 8, 2012
As a less-cloying alternative to Blue Moon this works pretty well. Plus, think of all the fun Boner jokes to be made when you show up with a sixer of this at a party.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 djd07 (1714) - Houston, Texas, USA - DEC 28, 2011
Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy orange golden with a small frothy white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is a fruity malt and cereal. Medium mouthfeel with a bready malt and metallic finish. Not much going on with this one.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 marcus (4050) - Sacramento, California, USA - NOV 10, 2011
Pours cloudy golden with a lot of chunks and an attractive off-white head. There is a wheat and yeast aroma and a light fruity flavor with a dry yeasty finish. The pineapple is not a very good substitute for the standard orange peel and coriander that is usually tossed into the brew, however, it is a refreshing drink.
3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 bhensonb (7577) - Woodland, California, USA - OCT 28, 2011
Bottle from a Grocery Outlet. Pours hazy light amber with a slight white head. Aroma is lightly fruit - acidic fruit. Near medium body. Flavor is fruit, then goes a bit papery gummy, then brings out acidic pineapple. Seems pretty dry. I’ve had much worse. In wits.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 nogov (118) - Texas, USA - SEP 18, 2011
Bottle. Aroma is slight. Little wet hay and some pineapple. Pours hazy straw with almost no head. Taste is faint wheat (and I meant faint) with gentle pineapple flavor. It’s a good thing they didn’t add anymore pineapple since the aftertaste borders on "tropical". Mouhfeel scores low, sort of limpid
