Imperial Cascadian Dark Ale
Imperial Cascadian is the NW style of this brew. This is a very well balanced, extremely hoppy black ale. It is very reminiscent of a winter ale. Armored fist is a collaboration beer brewed with the good ole boys from Three Floyd’s Brewing out of Chicago.

Poured from tap to glass. Dark hue with reddish tint and brown creamy head that lingered. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, melon, pear, papaya, ethanol. Mouthfeel is great with a medium body and zesty carbonation. Taste is dry with a nice hop bitterness that dominates the following and blends with an ethanol finish. Overall this is a really nice CDA.

Black and unexpectedly delicious . Has a complex vinous taste that I didn’t for see, as all other CDAs have been hovering around the drain in my experience. Quite a gem.

I'm seeing a quality issue with boneyard these days. This beer is nothing like it was a year or two ago (but neither is hop venom or RPM). Use to be only beer to rival Wookey Jack, and now it's thin, astringent, not as dark, and not much in the way of hop flavor or nose you'd expect from a hoppy boneyard beer. This saddens me because I've always been one of their biggest fans..

Bottle... Dark brown pour with ruby highlights and a small, fizzy, off-white head. The aroma is straight-up dankness and full-on armpit. Full-bodied and fatty with modest carbonation. The flavor is roasty and bittersweet - more sweet than bitter. Finishes tongue numbing, astringent and Mojave-dry. Bottle courtesy of ctipping!
