COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Imperial Cascadian Dark Ale
Imperial Cascadian is the NW style of this brew. This is a very well balanced, extremely hoppy black ale. It is very reminiscent of a winter ale. Armored fist is a collaboration beer brewed with the good ole boys from Three Floyd’s Brewing out of Chicago.

From growler filled at Boneyard. Wonderful taste, and I didn’t know about the 3 Floyds connection until I viewed this beer’s ratings. No wonder they have a couple of Dark Lord Day posters in the tasting room. A truly wonderful quaff from a great brewery!

A brown beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops, malt, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and citrusy hops, leading to a bitter finish.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Black colour, creamy beige head. aroma of pine, grapefruit and some roast malts. Rich flavour, moderately sweet, with a warming mouthfeel. Roasty notes of coffee, but first and foremost strong notes of piney and grapefruity hops, a hint of oak. .

Draft at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014 - Session 3. Pours amber-brown with a foamy, tan cap. The nose holds burnt pine, light cocoa. Medium sweet flavour with some dark bread, citrus, pine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly resinous to close out, with further dark and bready malts, toasted pine, orange citrus. Tasty and very drinkable. Good CDA.
