Pours a deep brownish black on tap with fluffy tan brown head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma and taste of roasty dark malt, green coffee sweetness, hint of earthy hop. Solid for the style, but the least interesting of all their beers.

Pours a finger and half of tan head on a black body. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate. The taste has a mild sweet start, then goes to coffee bitterness. Great profile. The texture is crisp. Really enjoyable.

On tap at Bailey’s, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out roasted malt, oats and light cocoa. Flavour is robust, with lots of roasted malt, dry cocoa powder and some oats - maybe a touch of hops as well. Well-balanced, robust and flavourful. Very nice.

Tap at the best beer bar in Portland...Bailey’s Tap Room. Full on pint glass. Pitch black. Nothing in terms of head. Aroma brings on plenty of espresso and coffee elements with a hint of chocolate. Mouthfeel is light and drinkable which doesn’t fit with expectations. Taste follows suit with the coffee and chocolate toffee characteristics. It’s good but gives off too much of the cold coffee quality for my taste. Aftertaste is cold brew coffee. I think I’ll pass from here on out.
