On tap. No head. Swells of flowers; almost wine-like. Thin, but sort of oily. Raspberries, cranberries and butter. Very interesting.

Draft at the Pine Box. Pours a cloudy dark brown with a scant tan head. Big balsamic nose, you’d think it’s mainly lacto if you didn’t know the fruit was there. Creamy medium body, soft carb. Dense balsamic profile on the mid-palate; surprisingly little counterpoint of actual fruit notes. Mild tart finish.

Dark amber in color, clear with a thin head. Big sour notes in the nose lots of fruit and light malts backing. Great flavor this was a rich and flavorful sour.

Heavenly luminous caramel sun color makes up for the otherwise lifeless looking appearance. Mildly fruity nose, mostly raspberry. Again, raspberry juice dominates the body. Mouthfeel is smooth, touched by both wheat and a pleasant tartness. Moderate raspberry throughout.

First swig is a little shocking....i do love a fruity beer but whoa man....the overly fruity nature of this beer did grow on me & by the time i finished it - i already had another waiting to go down...for a non-beer drinker, this one is pretty nice.

Sample at Dog and Pony. Light hazy dark amber/orange/brownish, frothy white head. Aroma of cranberries, butter, toffee. Taste is mild tart berry, toffee and lots of it, almost borders on something like butterscotch, doughy yeasty flavor, dark fruit. Pretty good but kind of odd at the same time. Smooth velvety texture and carbonation.

Tap @ Parkway. Cloudy, red-brown pour with a short white head leaving minimal lace. Lovely raspberry nose. Medium-light body and moderate, fine carbonation. Raspberry, toast, cherry and white grape, with some herb and citrus rind hop flavors in the background. Some sourness, but you can drink a pint without ruining your palate. Finish is very biscuit and pie crust, with a touch of lightly sweet fruit and tartness. Excellent.

Draught. Cloudy red with no head. Much lacing. Tastes very much like Lindeman’s Framboise lambic. Tartness sets off the sweetness of the berry. Lasting berry and tart finish. Hierdie is ’n lambiek.
