UPDATED: MAR 1, 2013 On tap for $3 happy hour at The Astro Lounge in downtown Bend. Big citrus hop aroma hits you right off the bat. Nice big Central Oregon style IPA! A must try. And guess what? $6 growlers for locals here in bend! Still an awesome beer.

On tap @ Horse Brass. Huge aroma w/ citrus & pineapple. One sniff of the taster sample and I knew that I’d order this instead of the fresh-hop beer they had on the list. Mouthfeel is heavier than you’d expect at this ABV. Caramel color & flavor, very well-balanced. Minimal head & lace. Light carb. Another great beer from Boneyard.

Tap @ Grain and Gristle... Poured amber orange with a thick, off-white head. A balanced IPA, with strong fruitiness. Mango, apricots, citrus hops, and doughy grains.

Clear light amber color/ white head. Big floral, citrusy, pine sap aromas. Medium body. Spicy, floral, pine hoppy flavors on a solid pale malt base, dry finish--very good.

Pours a hazy, barely transparent dark honey golden with a good pale beige head. Hoppy aroma has a firm fruity component that is more sweet than sour and mainly orange with a hint of lemon. Strongly hoppy flavor has a sweet citrus undertone, a touch of honey and almost no bitterness - overall, quite pleasing. Texture is smooth, fizzy and lively.

On tap @ Boneyard. Light golden amber with a small, sticky white head. Aroma is citrus, tropical fruit, pine and very light caramel malt. Flavor is plenty bitter with lots of hop flavor and a mild malt character. Medium body with average carbonation and a dry, clean mouth feel. Great IPA, drinks like a 5% abv beer.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2011 From tap to red plastic sippy cup. Dark amber-brown color with a shortish off-white head. Good retention and minimal lacing. Resiny, green, and full of grapefruit citrus. Also cannibis ruderalis maximus. Bitter. Medium body, cr-icky palate, and a resiny, green bitter finish. Good IPA.
