Chocolate Espresso Stout
This rich, creamy stout combines three of our favorite things; espresso, beer and chocolate! Boneyard and Backporch Coffee Roasters have collided to create a very flavorful and aromatic ale, using a cold extraction method. Breakfast or dinner....it’s up to you!! Just don’t let your boss sniff yer coffee cup!!

5 oz chilled pour from tap into a cylindrical tasting glass at Growler Guys in Portland, Oregon. Deep black and opaque with a solid cream head and nice lacing. Burnt espresso on the nose. Dark malts too. Medium body and crisp. A little thin for my taste. Great coffee and dark chocolate notes-- like dark chocolate espresso beans. A bit dry and not too sweet

Dark brown/black with an off-white head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, vanilla, hints of dark fruit. Full bodied, lightly sticky mouthfeel, starts sweet on the palate with a roasty coffee finish. Taste is coffee, chocolate, vanilla, dates, fig.

A very very good and happily welcomed, well-made Stout from Oregon. Just like we need rain, we desperately need some Stout. Originally enjoyed November 23rd, 2013.

A good Stout, and the best thing I have tried from Boneyard so far. I look forward to more.

On tap at Uber Tavern, pours a dark amber mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out loads of coffee, a little cocoa, and some bready English malt. Flavour brings out coffee upfront, drowning out anything else. Not really getting anything British about this, though the body is indeed pretty light. Good stuff.

Growler from brewery. Espresso aroma. Light cocoa and espresso, very dry for abv. Pretty simplistic but well executed and enjoyable.

Poured from tap to glass. Dark brown with reddish tin tented hue and creamy off white head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, roasted malt. Mouthfeel is easy with a light body and low carbonation. Taste is dry with a nice bitter finish from the coffee. Overall this is a decent stout but is bordering watery.

Draft at Uber. Big on the chocolate. So much chocolate, in aroma, taste, and finish. Some roastiness in there too. As it warms, some cola -- a less sweet chocolate coke, if anybody else has ever had those.

Nice chocolate aroma. Dark brown appearance. Sweet coffee and milk initial sip. Chocolate sweetness in the middle and slightly thin. Heavy lacing and almost no alc presence. Could be a great beer anytime of day!

Growler that sat for at least 3-4 days before consuming. Black colored, moderate head, good lace/retention. Aroma is chocolate, roast, more caramel, light grapefruit. Medium bodied, very drinkable, soft mouthfeel. Great balance.

Dark brown color, almost black. Nice brown head. Loads of coffee up front, not overly roasty, but a nice dry finish. Good stuff.
