Growler @ Frankís (Ramnuts) tasting, thanks to Mini & Bird - 06/11/12.
Light black with a thin tan head.
Nose comprises coffee, espresso tones, chocolate and molasses.
Tastes of espresso, coffee beans, chocolate, roast malts.
Medium bodied with light carbonation, a little too much going on for my liking but not enough to spoil a good stout. and a roasty finish.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark sasparilla body with ultra pillowy ovaltine colored head. Chocolatey, musty malt aroma interrupted by some old shoe. The flavor actually transcends the inconsistencies of the aroma by offering up a full chocolate ovaltine and malt flavor that would pair well with poutine and cheese.

On tap. Nearly black, with a slight tan head that was gone by the first sip. Somewhat oily and slick, but medium-bodied and very drinkable. Flavor of coffee, roasted malt, cereal, and a hint of bittersweet chocolate. Delicious.

Tap @ Boneyard... Poured dark brown with a thin, off-white head. Some big cocoa tones here and hints of pressed coffee. Roasted malts made a presence with a nice mild palate and suitable body for the drying finish.
