Can shared by fajry, many thanks! Overall a very good brown ale! Bitter chocolate in aroma and taste. Walnut ice cream suggested by my comrades is present. Color is of dark brown, red aleish. Very enjoyable!

Pours dark brown with off-white head. Aroma is chocolate nutty smoked malt. Flavor is slightly less nutty with more yeasty esters. Solid brown with some good dark and smoky flavors.

12 oz can from Evergreen Discount. Dark brown and pretty clear with a tan head and light lacing. Roasted malts, bread, chocolate, light bitter hops and earthy aroma. Similar flavor, crisp and malty. Medium body with a lingering finish.

Dark brown with a touch of clear ruby around the edge of the glass, under a thin rocky light khaki head. The aroma is wonderful, with a lovely milk chocolate tone, a touch of biscuit, some pecan, and a touch of light morning-blend coffee. Taste is smooth and earthy with some crackery bakers cocoa, and some ground morning coffee, and earthy nuttiness. Sweet, earthy, and smooth. Re-instills my hope in the Brown Ale style.

Drank direct from can. Beer had nice aroma of roasted coffee and hints of coco underlying the coffee. The beer itself was a heavy body, but it did not coat the tongue. Lingered a little longer than what I preferred, but it does not diminish the overall flavor.

can to glass in Edwards during late summer trip to CO Mountains. going from old notes roasted aroma; normal tasting brown with some nuttiness but the end was acidic and sour - is that the theme of this brewery?

Can. Head is initially small, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is medium to dark brown. Aroma is moderately malty (caramel, toasted nuts, roasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), with light notes of bubble gum and dirt. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter, slightly unclean. Light to medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively/soft carbonation. Very little aromatically wrong with this in comparison to the Blonde Ale, so it’s a relief to know they’re not consistently poor from beer to beer. That said, this is very simplistic and the mouth experience leaves a lot to be desired...syrupy and a somewhat dirty aftertaste...but in general it’s a pretty average beer.
