COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Getrunkenexperiment. Query: What might a blend of pear, apple and quince taste like naturally fermented (with indigenous yeast)? Result (not surprisingly): The ethereal suggestion of pineapple quince; the pungent, heady, dusky perfume of pear; and the earthy succulence of apple. I never thought I’d see... a pome as lovely as Querry. Crisp in acidity and bone-dry. Querry is the perfect accompaniment to, well, essentially everything. It is composed of virtually everything, but most significantly: 58% pears, 33% apples, 9% quince, malic acid, sulfur dioxide.

2013 bottling: 62% pears, 36% apples, 2% quince.

2011 dated 750ml. clear pale yellow body with seltzer water effervescence. mild generic apple / pear aroma with softer touches of unripe kiwi and lemon meringue pie. substantial calcium carbonate and granite / spring water mineral character; some sea salt / sand notes; soft apple + pear expression but missing any distinct quince note (and me being unfamiliar with quince, which I hear is basically a pear). light body; between dry and semi-dry (not bone-dry as the bottle says); mild unripe apple and pear with suggestions of lemon custard. increasing malic acid in the finish (bitter, astringent, acidic apple skins). it’s not deep or complex and develops no depth over the course of a sip or a glass. well-made but very static.

75 cl bottle thanls to Cat (non-ratebeer), sampled on May 16, 2015.
Clear golden color, tiny white head. Sweet, honey, apple pure scent. Tart, apple taste. Apple core aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel, dry tart finish.

Bottle @ Home. Hugely effervescent pour. Clear pale straw pour with a massive champagne head. Kind of a tangy, lightly musty nose. Some straw, tart pear and apple, and some lemon zest. A touch of wet stone and straw. This is quite dry and has a nice acidity. A bunch of straw and mineral quality. Sort of fruity, but not overly heavy on the apple or pear. My girlfriend didn’t really like it, but I thought it was nice.

[2/16/15] Bottle at Discretion Brewing in Soquel. 2013 bottle. Clear gold. Pleasant apples aroma with a light sulphury note. Sourish flavor with apples and pears. Refreshing.

Pours a clear gold from the bottle with little to no head or lace but nice bubbly carbonation. Aroma of sweet apples and sugary maple with a hint of tartness. Taste follows with nice acidic sweetness, big on the apples, green mixed with gala, nice pear notes not too sweet. Pretty decent for a cost, but over priced.

Bonny Doon Querry is a nice change of pace but fitting with the spirit of craft beer. Medium yellow translucent pour. Light fruity aroma. The pears make a nice blend with the apple with a touch of sourness. Some sweetness but not overly so. Querry is a nice break from beer and decent wine substitute.

Bottle, shared at game night. Very pale yellow-beige with fine carbonation and a very effervescent head. Champagne yeast, light dough, ripe pear and pulpy apple, low sweetness, dry finish. Nice.

2013 Bottle from App Vintner - pours clear pale gold, tiny bubbles. Aroma is big pineapple, green apples, and earthiness. This is on the sweet side with sour undertones. It is very syrupy. They have adjusted the formula some increasing the pears to 62%, 36% apples, and 2% quince. I’m not sure what quince tastes like, so I can’t tell you if it’s very present in the beer.

It's a very light crisp cider with not much in flavor, I suspect that it's for the summer drinking session. Overall not too impressive ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
