Draft at the brewery. This seems a bit "off" right from the beginning. This has the same soapy impression as the wit, if a bit less noticeable. The mouthfeel isn’t substantial enough, and it generally comes across as a starter homebrew. (#5697, 8/31/2014)

Tap at Minnesota State Fair, Land of 10,000 Beers section. Light caramel, a smidgen of fruitiness in aroma. Cloudy dark copper brown color. Muddled fruit, a little bitterness. Thin-medium body. A bit flat, flavors don’t really develop into much of anything.

Tap. Pint glass. Light copper with small white head. Weird aroma, and taste has an off sourness and bad beer taste. Dissapointing.

6/06/13, On tap in a shaker pint at Famous Dave's Calhoun Square. Color was appealing golden, hardly any aroma. Very Miller Lite like which is SHOCKING for a Belgian Style craft beer. No head on the pour. Off night, pour, keg, batch? Extremely mild. This is a pale ale for light beer devotees. The beer is adequate but not inspiring enough for me to order another. Final verdict: Meh...

Pours a dark gold with good-sized, lingering head. Aroma is floral, spruce. Flavor is also hop floral, with a kind of unpleasant, sour bite to it. This isn’t your usual pale ale. More like a Belgian abbey ale. Not bad, just not my favorite.

On tap. Head is fairly thick and sticks around. Amber color. Spice on the nose and the taste have some definite uniqueness points from the spice.

750 ml. bottle. Thanks Jeffrey! Pours a dark gold with a nice off-white head. Aroma of fruit, yeast, and malt. Taste is tropical fruits, yeast, malt, and florals. OK.

Golden--looks pretty standard. This wasn’t at all pleasing to me. Murky, vegetal malts with a tempered American hop profile. Low astringency (good) but otherwise a mashup of unattractive features. Not my kind of beer, but perhaps some people love it. (on tap, Groveland Tap, St. Paul)
