Bottle: The aroma consists of light citrus, apple, bubblegum, faint grapefruit, and grass. It pours a hazy (bordering on cloudy) amber with a two finger orange tinged off-white head that fades to a thin film within a minute or so. There’s a good amount of webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a some light-moderate fruit and a touch of caramel. Some bubblegum notes and banana come into play in the middle. The finish has light citrus, grapefruit, and floral notes. It’s light-medium bodied with moderate-lively carbonation.

Pours a rather cloudy golden yellow with nice, thick, lasting head. Aroma is quite heavy on the grassy side of the hops. Flavor is dominated by a very bitter, hoppy-citrus combination that almost veers a bit more towards the witbier/wheat side of things. From a company that specializes in Belgian-style ales, this maybe isn’t such a surprise. Very bitter finish to the beer. Interesting but not my favorite.

Cloudy copper amber pour, thick off-white head. Grapefruit hop aroma, sweet flowers. Taste roasted malt, grain, yeast, alcohol and a bitter finish.

750 ml corked and caged bottle purchased at Zipps in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The pour is a hazy golden with a thick two inch head that leaves behind pretty lacing. The aroma is fresh floral hoppiness, a bit of detectable bitterness and a nice backbone of mildly sweet cracker malt. Nice balance in the nose. The taste is the nose, clean fresh floral hops paired nicely with a lightly sweet cracker malt. Additionally, there is a bit of honey and citrus fruit in the flavor. Nice subtle character. The palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation and a dry slightly bitter finish. Nice solid beer.

Not a full-on, over the top IPA, but it has some good qualities and I really thought of it more as a wannabe double IPA, because of the abv and the malt character. Gentle hop nose, with a flavor that was less enjoyable. (tap at the Happy Gnome)

750mL from PortableParty, C&C.. nose is substantially better than the taste, nose is hoppy and bold where the taste is malt forward and fairly balanced, very fresh this would be a good IPA

This is an interesting one. Pours a beautiful orange color with puffs of white head which retains itself well. Smell is on the malty side, with a bit of spruce-like pine notes. The taste brings out more of the hops, resinous and slightly fruity. The malt is nice, but it lacks much of the belgian character I was expecting. On the whole, nice.

750ml bottle from mtjoseph, thanks Mark! Pours a cloudy, orange-amber colored body with a big, two finger-width, creamy and frothy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice, sticky lacing throughout. Aroma is citrus-grapefruits with some sharper, soapy pines and a medium sweet caramel backing. A few florals and a dry earthiness as well. Flavor is similar. Grapefruits and other citruses up front with a soapy pine resin and some floral fruits. Medium sweet caramel balances and lets the hops take the forefront. A bit of an earthy spice towards the end as well as light mix of sharper and sweet grapefruits. Finishes dry and moderately bitter with a nice earthy spice and soapy pine citrus balanced with a light caramel. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a slightly lively, soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid IPA. Lots of citrusy hops well balanced with a light caramel. I like the slight spice kick to the hops in the finish. Easy drinking, no hint of the alcohol, and enjoyable. Good one.

It sounded so enticing, turns out slightly disappointing. Aroma is citrus, pine and...soap. The appearance is nice - a hazy gold with think off white head that leaves lacing throughout. Flavor pretty well mirrors the aroma. I was hoping for more hops, even some yeasiness, but I get citrus, resin and soap. A bit heavier palate. I hope for more from their other varieties.
