Thanks for sharing, Jason??? I thought the bottle said best by 1/5/08? The beer pours to a deep brown. The aroma is sweet cherries or raspberries with some leafy characteristics. The flavor is basic and boring with a light cherry and sweet pale malt. Strawberry leaves. Sweet palate. Meh, it is what it is.

Bottled, BB 8/1/2008. Poured clear amber with almost no head, even with agitation. The aroma picked up tart cherry vinegar notes and redder fruits with much, much more sweetness behind.. very approachable, but not quite lambic-cy. The flavor opened with tart cherries, with sweeter cherry and lightly tart oak not far behind.. oxidation was present.. mostly sweet on the finish and very easy to drink. Lighter-bodied with low carbonation on the palate.. easy enough to drink, but not that good overall.

Bottle. Very old. Pours a copper body with a thin lacing of bubbles. Very oxidized sweetness, cherry, malt, a light moldy character and soy. Eh didn’t hold up over all this time.

750 ml cork and caged bottle shared by ygtbsm94. Bottle looked like it was 20+ years old. Pours a clear deep caramel copper - almost syrupy with no head- and a low carbonation. Aroma is stinky, funky- but more mushroom- like mildew, hints of soy, and wet paper oxidation- and hints of chemical-s pool chlorine. Flavor is molasses, cinnamon, sherry ox sweetness, more chlorine, diesel fuel, - old pool water, mildew, mold and mushroom- earthiness with hints of old rotting oak, with a very light prickly acidity over the sugary butter cookie, and cherry pie sweetness. Strange beer.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy medium brown color lambic with a medium foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of candi sugar with a lightly tart dubbel base. Taste is a weird mix between some Belgian malt with some easily noticeable candi sugar and a light tart and oak finish. Body is somewhat thin with good carbonation. OK but not something I would seek again.

25cl bottle. Vintage 1997. Trade with TheWolf. Thank you Rene. Pours dark amber with a red hew and a creamy bubbly beige head. Nose is sweet and earthy. Mouldy cellar notes, clearly past its prime. Aroma also has a good deal of sweet caramel/toffee. Flat carbonation. Medium bodied. The tartness of a lambic is unfortunatly not there & quite oxidized on top of that. Caramel, plum, mould and cellar. OK

0.25 l bottle (vintage 1997, 5 %) at Man in the Moon, Stockholm. Dark reddish brown color with yeast flocs and small creamy head. Sweet aroma of plum, licorice and cheesy-musty port wine. Sweet plummy and yeasty flavor with licorice. Rounded and soft. No lambic acidity, too bad.

Courtesy of Nate. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a frothy off-white head. A little lacing. The aroma is sweet caramely and fruity. A slight funk to it. Very mild with a slight dryness. A bitter mineral characteristic that lingers on the back of the tongue. Not as sweet as I thought it would be. Pretty thin with a slight sprits. Ok, but not great.
