UPDATED: DEC 29, 2011 Bottle thanks to the wolf. Have been looking forward to trying this one for a long time. Cant read the best before date but suspect this one is a little old. Nice aromas. Darkish fruits, light vinegar sourness and some candii sweetness. Nice sublte aromas. Unfrotunately the flavours have not held up quite as well. Basically slightly sugary sweet water. Very thin mouthfeel. No really carbonation to speak of.

Etwas oxidierter Geruch. /8/9/8/12/9

Dark amber color, small off-white head. Strong toffee, vinegar, wineous aroma. Sweetish brown sugar flavor with some vinegarish-wineous notes. Round palate. Still in good shape.

On-tap (or on cask?) at the Oud Arsenaal in Antwerp... Is an copper-orange in the glas. Very still, no head to speak of. A tart, funky aroma with some hints of lemon as well. Quite tart, quite funky but it has been sweetened somewhat by the candy sugar and it takes the edge off. Cidery too with a hint of fresh squeezed lemon. There’s an oakiness, a faint presrnce of spice and an herbal bitterness lurking down there somewhere. Dry finish and a light body. It’s different but when fresh it’s a lively, interesting and refreshing beer. When in Belgium, seek some out.

Old. Pourd a copper color with a minimal head. Aged malt aroma. Earthy and oxidized with a mild sweetness. The flavor is just like the aroma. Light bodied and semi-dry.

Thanks for sharing, Jason??? I thought the bottle said best by 1/5/08? The beer pours to a deep brown. The aroma is sweet cherries or raspberries with some leafy characteristics. The flavor is basic and boring with a light cherry and sweet pale malt. Strawberry leaves. Sweet palate. Meh, it is what it is.
