COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Faro Boon is een bier van spontane gisting waarbij Meerts bier en Oude Lambiek gemengd worden. De lichtbruine kleur en zoetzure smaak worden bekomen door toevoeging van kandijsuiker voor het bottelen. A beer of spontaneous fermentation, made by the blending of ’Meerts’ beer and old Lambics. The light-brown colour, as well as the sweet-sour character, are due to the addition of candisyrup before bottling.

[bottle] Creamy and buttery caramel aroma with a peach note. Clear copper, with a lacy, off-white head. Sweet butter-caramel flavour that is only a touch sour with granny smith apple. Very low bitterness. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, sweet, slightly nutty finish.

Tasty and sweet, definitely one of the most accessible lambics I’ve tried. Sugar is very dominant. I could recommend this to somebody beginning to explore beers, but probably not as a regular indulgence.

Bottled 250ml. -Dark amber coloured, small to medium off-white head, sourish nose. Sweet malty (a bit too sweet), caramel and candy sugar with notes of berries. Not so complex, one-dimensional and a way too sweet faro.

Bottle. Dark brown, red with a small beige head. Aromas are berries and bubblegum with yeast. Quite vinous. Flavours are sweet and fruity with toffee. Sugary and plummy with some citrus on the finish. OK.
