This Belgian fruit lambic reminded me a lot of a good rose wine. It’s a little too sweet for general drinking IMO, but I could imagine serving it with ice cream on a hot summer day, or sipping it like champagne on a moonlit balcony with a hot babe (yes Kristen, I mean you). It was a muddy cherry colour with a light lather of foam. The raspberries are prominent in the aroma, alongside sour-sweet cherries. Spritzy, champagne-like palate. Very sweet and sugary on the tongue, but fairly well balanced by fruity acids. Faint toffee and oak. Very easy drinking. (Duff homecoming gathering - thanks Duff for bringing this one)

Lovely musty raspberry aroma. Lightly sour flavour, but heavy on the sweetness - quite the opposite of what I was expecting really. I quite like it, but I think there must be better ones out there.

Bottled. Red appearance. Quite acidic and sour. Woody and dry with strong raspberry notes. Sour finish. A great and refreshing beer.

Bottle. Clear red coloured with a huge off white head. Acidic aroma of berries and wood. Light acidic flavour with lots of berries and wood. Good lambic.

@highlandlad’s from duff: this was quite a shock after drinking a rosé de gambrinus straight before. smell is entirely raspberry. nothing else. nice in its way. i like the smell of raspberries. in the mouth it’s sweet raspberry cordial with a pleasant light fizziness, finishing with a mild tannic, overstewed tea flavour. not much actual sourness to speak of, but it is quite dry, which saves it. a pleasant drink - maybe a nice marinade for something.

Bottle. Red light color with a pink head. Very sweet almost cidery taste. Slight sour finish of raspberry. Smooth and light going down.

Raspberry nose and taste predominates, of course. Nice rusty-red color, low tight head. Good amount of sourness to balance the sweet - like a sweet-n-sour dish. Tart end with an earthy effect. Refreshing and just an excellent beverage!

Cloudy read orange color with a small little head on top. Raspberry - but medium - sweet nose - kinda tart. Medium sour raspberry taste mixed up with lot’s of cherries and some thyme. Get*s your tongue with a nice smooth whipped cream feeling on the tongue.
