Brought this back from belgium from and cant believe its lasted till now without me drinking it. (2000 bottle). As soon as the cork fired off this the room was filled with framboise/geuze really lively and fresh. Pours an excellent pinkish colour with lasting head al through. Aroma is a bit harsh for me to start with but quickly sorts itself out to a nice rassberry, infact rasberry seeds that u get in jam. Taste is fresh and again the seeds with little nuttyness and soem light funky yeast to excite it a bit. Mouthfeel is very lively almost champagne like. Im still trying to get into lambics at the moment as they arnt easy for us to get up here in scotland and they are a very unique style of beer, but a great beer we have here no doubt.

Bottle@Plan B, Copenhagen. This was officially the first beer i had at the Euro summer gathering (i snuck a few beers in before with kook). I can’t remember who bought this, i think it was joss, but i’m not sure. Whoever it was, thanks for starting me off with this! This was lovely. Red/pink clour, looked beautiful in the champagne flute. Nice tart rasberry seeds character, some nice fleshy rasberry in there aswell. Lightly sweet to start. perfect mouthfeel, unbelievably refreshing, dry and sour/tart. man, i love rasberries. Classy.

Bottled. Vintage 2000. Pours red, with a frothy pink head. Aroma is intense of fresh rasperries. Taste is slightly sour, with notes of brett, and an explosion of fresh fruit. Truely on of the worlds great beers

Bottle, at Plan B, Copenhagen. Fizzy, clear red colour, initially large head. Aroma is ripe raspberries (no surprise), "over-ripe" perhaps. Fruit garden notes, smells like an "Indian summer" day. Also notes of blackberries. Flavour is again raspberries, not too sour, well balanced, vinous qualities. A supreme fruit lambic.

Bottle of the 2000 Vintage Clear, red body. Lightly pink, fizzy head which diminishes mostly. Lightly sweet raspberry aroma. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter initial flavour. Moderately bitter, lightly acidic finish. Lightly to medium bodied. Fizzy carbonation. The raspberry flavour is quite complex, but not dominated by the complexity as a Westy is, but rather dominated by simplicity with complexity underneath it (but you have to look carefully).
