I had a moment like this with Westvleteren 12 in The Kulminator a beer that I’d had before many years back but never rated, it really was quite magical in the Kulminator. There was also the mighty Kaggen on New Years Eve a year or two ago, fantastic! It’s quite difficult to see how drinking Boon Framboise Mariage Parfait whilst cooking ’Tagine Bil Kok’ (tagine of lamb with prunes) down the garden by the raspberry canes on a wonderfully sunny Saturday evening in late May could compare to one of those right time, right place moments for a beer, but it did. The pour was a pinky brown, sometimes looking like old blood in a certain light, it was also a little hazy, the head was light pink a and fluffy. The aroma was pure raspberry jam, soft and squidy raspberries abound on the nose, its a fruit laden corker of an aroma. The taste is simply sumptious, its slightly tart at first but it no way is this sharp, its just so well done those ripe raspberries are soft in the mouth carbonation is fantastic. This is just so refreshing, I simply cannot believe how good this beer is and offer some to Loz to try, Loz is equally stunned into silence. The alcohol in this is just right it offers just the right sort of platform for those juicy flavour’s to flood through. I sip again and those raspberries explode on the tongue, I am so chuffed that this is a 750ml bottle. This isn’t too sweet or too sharp it really is just perfect in my eye’s, you can taste those rapberries, seeds spilling over the lip, wonderful stuff, absolutely wonderful. Gotta get some more! Very very dark red, thicker and more lasting head than most lambics I’ve had. Nose extremely fresh, with some cream to go along with the sweet/tart of the raspberry. Flavor extremely sour, mouthpuckering even, but very refreshing and smooth and with just enough raspberry sweetnes to get by. Finish powerfully acidic and long. Best lambic I’ve had yet, and a totally worthy beer #500! mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

Fantastic accompaniment to a Wes Anderson Film Festival me and the Mrs. were having tonight. Seek out this beer. Up .1 to a hair under Muzzle's enumeration. Original: 750 ml, also 1996 or 1997, as per Muzzlehatch. Had a 'best before' date of Oct 2001. This is a really wonderful lambic experience, in my book. The color is a murky dark brown, with a lasting pink head. Nose is a perfect mixture of some gueze sourness plus cheesiness with moderate raspberry. Taste is also appropriately mellow; sure, it's tart and all, but not over the top. Alcohol, at 6.2%, is not at all noticeable. Full in the mouth, far fuller than other Framboises, methinks. A great experience all around. I can't wait to see what yeasty surprises await at the end of the bottle. I got two of these from Matt at Liquidsolutions.ws. badgerben (3596), Blaine, Minnesota, USA

Murky brown color with a thin head. Aroma of raspberry jam that was made about 30 seconds ago. Strong, very strong raspberry flavor. Incredibly thick. Lightly tart and some wheat. Not sour at all. Delicious.
