UPDATED: SEP 8, 2011 375cl bottle at home Vintage 2008. This is no touch on their discontinued Framboise Mariage Parfait. The aroma is similar but lacks that wild element that makes a traditional lambic special. The aroma and flavor is up front raspberries. Medium to low sourness. This is not the sweetest of the non traditional lambics.

75cl Bottle at home vintage 2004. This is a fantastic beer and really is a Mariage Parfait between sweet and sour. The aroma is of fresh raspberrys and funk. The taste is more of the same. Dont expect the in your face sourness of a Cantillon, this beer is all about balance. I really hope Boon makes more of this as these are beginning to become rather hard to find. This would be an excellent introduction beer for a novice to the style. One of my favourites so far. 1995 vintage 75cl, absolutely fantastic! The age has made this even better than the 2004 vintage!

12-oz bottle Wine Works, Springfield, OH aroma: raspberry, sweet; appearance: clear, red-brown color, little laces, slight white head; flavor: sweet, tart, raspberry; mouthfeel: light bodied, light carbonation, dry finish; overall: lovely fruity, sweet and sour light beer with a refreshingly dry and fruity finish.

355ml Bottle: Sweet aroma of raspberries, oak, slight vanilla, and a hint of funk. Poured deep amber/ruby/magenta in color with a small, white/violet head that diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer, as well as around the edges. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Many medium-sized particles throughout. Flavor is heavily sweet and lightly tart. Tastes of raspberry, lambic, oak, and funk. Medium body. Medium body. Lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Raspberry, oak, and funk finish.

A: The pour is a strange looking purple-red color with a minimal and short lived pink head. S: A completely overwhelming aroma of artificial raspberry is the first thing I notice. There is a mild funky, cheesiness underneath and perhaps a slight acidity. T: Things don’t improve at all when it comes to the flavor. The same sweet, fake raspberry taste and it’s slightly sugary. In retrospect, the flavor of this is reminiscent of raspberry jam (and not even a good one). M: The body is light with a tingly carbonation. D: I really don’t understand the point of these sweetened lambics. If you’re going to go through the trouble of making lambic, do it right.

bottle at Le Cheval Blanc Ruby red pour with a pink head. Aroma of, well.....what else......raspberries. There is some slight funk, in there but not as much as i expected. This is pretty much a cross between an awful fruit lambic like Chapeau or MOrt Subite that are like drinking juice, and a Cantillon of Drie Fontainen that are very tart. This is right in the middle. just enough juice, and tart i think to agree with alot of people. A great introduction beer if someone was new to the style.

Bottle at home. Clear dark reddish purple color with a thin white head. Aroma of fruits like raspberry, cherries, blueberries. Flavor is sour, slightly sweet and very fruity. Some oak and sherry in the finish. Quite sharp but watery texture and low carbonation.

Bottle 75cl Vintage 2004: Pink coloured, slowly collapsing - also a bit pinkish - foam, hazy; extremely fruity (full of raspberries) nose, reminds You of a good Champagne Rosé, with vinous elements and a light touch of balsamic vinegar; solid sweet-sourish, but also bitter flavour, soft, medium bodied; sweetish-sourish finish with the gentle raspberry aromas, followed by a light tartness. Wow, what a superb fruit beer.......
