3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Defreni (1781) - Husum, DENMARK - MAY 17, 2009
Flaske: Hindbær i duften, meget karboneret. Krydret smag der også har en masse lagringsnoter som et gammelt bibliotek hvilket faktisk er ganske interessant. Fin øl.

355ml bottle. Pours a brownish ruby with a small pinkish white head. Aroma is sour raspberry with a little funkiness.
Flavor is sweet up front, sour raspberries and some mild funk in the finish. Overall an enjoyable lambic.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 CanIHave4Beers (2002) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - APR 28, 2009
Backlog night!
Pours a deep rose color with a lasting thick medium white head with a pinkish tint. Perhaps the best retention I’ve ever seen on a lambic. The beer is full of effervescent bubbles cascading up from the bottom of the glass. The aroma is fresh raspberries with a light funkiness. The flavor is only very mildly sour but has plenty of wonderful raspberry flavor which is very sweet up front but this has a much longer dryness. There is just a mild funkiness and a sort of cheesy flavor. This is delicious but it’s a little one dimensional.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Madsnp (892) - Vinens Verden - Odense C, DENMARK - APR 28, 2009
Bottle. 2004 vintage. Hazy deep ruby colored with a lively off white head. The aroma is of raspberries(a little artificial), a little musty, vinegar and wood. Flavour of unripe berries, sugar, mild acidity, wood and vinegar.

750mL bottle, 2004 from cgarvieuk--thank you Craig! Clear pinkish red with a one finger slightly pink--though more white--head, fair retention. Lemon acidity with light vinegar notes, and both crushed raspberries and raspberry jam in the background. There is a little bit of hay as well. The flavor has slightly bitter raspberry skins, and doesn’t come off too sweet, even by the aroma’s standard (which wasn’t that sweet to begin with). Not too funky at all--dry finish with acidity peaking around a 3 or so. Very nice balance between the sweet and sour characteristics. Light carbonation with a light body. A very approachable lambic.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Pinball (7771) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 9, 2009
37.5cl bottle 2007 vintage. tasted apr. 2009.
very nice fresh straberry aroma, mixed with a nice sour/acid aroma.
clear red, thick pink head.
flavor is more acid and sour than fresh strawberry. also some dirt. and some strange bitterness into the end. quite dry, flavor actually reminds me a lot of champaigne.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 NomDeBeer (414) - Maryland, USA - APR 8, 2009
Based on the fact that my bottle had absolutely no carbonation at all, I’d have to say I had a bad bottle. This thing was totally flat and acrid. Horrible really.

Crushed with Jakebra. Raspberries all around. Nice brew, with plenty of funky awesomeness along the way. Pretty awesome lambic.
