Bottle from River’s Bend. Poured hazy reddish color with moderate frothy reddish white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Good tart raspberry aroma. Medium body with smooth texture. Moderate sweet raspberry flavor with a solid tart fruit finish of moderate duration.

Bottle (in NZ), poured a cloudy pinkish brown, with a foamy pink head. A tangy sour aroma of raspberries. Sour on the palate, but also acidic - hinting that it hasn’t enjoyed the long journey to NZ. Raspberry and some banana flavours. The finish is mroe full, creamy and salty. I’ve tasted it in better nick than this - shame.

Very fresh and up front nose of tart sour raspberries. A warm reddish pink color. Has a dry, sour, and musty taste. Will drink next bottle with some dark chocolate.

Pink/red pour with hardly any head. Good tart raspberries all the way through with some funk as well. Nice sour bite that sweetens out into a good overall fruit right away. A little on the water side in the palate but still, very delicious. Damn i love lambic’s.

Rosy-bodied and pink-topped, it’s tough to look manly with a glass of Boon’s craft in hand. Aromatically though, the fruit’s luscious intensity is about as delicate as a jackhammer. Strawberry cheesecake, grape candy, red apple and raspberry jelly; there’s pie crust and peaches, brown sugar and cookies. All this is only meagerly balanced by well-aged hops, but no matter, the variegated fruit flavors are truly inspiring. As for the flavor, imagine The Shining’s elevators spewing torrents of raspberry syrup instead of blood. Surprisingly dry, the fruit is full but not cloying and the fine carbonation adds wonderful texture to the experience. Hints of fig, browned butter, oak and black cherry, a finishing touch of blackcurrant, it’s an impressive brew. If it had further explored those sour notes of leather, this certainly would approach perfection in the realm of fruit lambics. For those outsiders who deem a pink fruit beer girly, let me again borrow from Jack Nicholson’s oeuvre and say "YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE FRUIT!" (01/07/07, 2004 bottle)

Pours a ruby color with a pink head. Aroma is of raspberry, sourness, oak, and some wild aromas. Tart flavor with some oak, wool, raspberry, and some yeast. Not too bad but not my favorite framboise.
