Ruby red body with a very small ring of pinkish bubbles around the edge of the glass. A sour raspberry aroma mixed with just a hint of maybe honey sweetness. Sour, raspberry, hints of bitterness, barnyard grassy, and all kinds of other flavors my vocabulary can’t describe. Delicious.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 abstractbeer (170) - NORWAY - SEP 25, 2011
UPDATED: NOV 27, 2011 My first fruit lambic!! Bottle, 37.5 cl. Deep red color, with a small pink head. The immediate aroma is fresh raspberries wrapped in sweet caramel-ish aromas. Sweet lambic jesus this smells good! In my mouth the body is medium to full, I’d say. Flavor is very much like the aroma, with wonderful fresh raspberries with delightful notes of caramel, slightly sour, but with sweet edges. Quickly, as I swallow, the expected sourness really comes through, refreshing and very very very pleasant! The sourness continues into the finish, leaving my mouth full of raspberry flavors, tartness and sour goodness! Wow. There are other flavors here besides the raspberry, but I’m not sure what they are, since I’m relatively new to the world of sour ales, but the raspberry flavors definitely dominate. The stuff in the background makes me think of a barnyard and such, but it’s very faint. Also, hints of lemon.
Overall: I think this is just spectacular! And it’s probably not even the best fruit/raspberry lambic out there! Wow!

bottle@GBF 2011: dark red with a pink hue & pink head, smell is lots of sweet raspberries, slight raspberry grenadine, sweet upfront with lots of raspberries, light wood & hint of malt, followed with a slightly sour & acidic + tart aftertaste which still has some sweetness to it, barnyard aftertaste, nice, leaning a bit more towards the sweet than the traditional but a good sweet one
