Framboise Boon is a traditional Belgian Lambic fruit-beer. It is brewed according to the traditional Lambic style of spontaneous fermentation. Only fresh raspberries (25%) and wildcherries (5%)are used for this Lambic beer. Framboise Boon is the missing link between beer and wine and is served chilled in flute glasses. NO artificial sweeteners, flavourings, preservatives or colouring agents. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name.

Red with a small thick pink head. Aroma has cereals, raspberries, milk and jam. Taste is as above but with some tartness. Thin body, soft carbonation, dry. Short dry after taste.

375 ml bottle to tulip. Looks decent; pretty soft carbonation though. A hazy amberish cherry with white lacing. Some ugly black sediment at the bottom of the bottle that Iím glad I didnít pour into my glass. Smells fairly sweet and syrupy with notes of cherry and raspberry. A little bit of funk I suppose, but the borderline cloying nose covers it up. Tastes like it smells, it not as sweet, with an average (at best) medium-bodied mouthfeel. An underwhelming example of the style.

Red with a pink head - Sweet rasberry aroma with some hints of sourness in the back - Sweet berry body with a stron rasberry flavour and it is sweet, not much sourness from the lambic - Very clean and flavourful rasberry finish - This was quite nice

375ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours clear red-brown, no head. Big raspberry aroma, slight vinegar note. Taste is creamy raspberry torte, light sour, light chalky note. Thin, but not too thin. Fruit dominates, but very nice.

cork and cage. Red hazy colour. Big fruity aroma with raspberries and sour cherries with some woodsy notes and some apple in there as well. I find this brew a little more tart than I expected with sour notes and a yeasty/estery flavour in the mid palate. It is a good beer and gets better as it opens up but for me it is a little bit too tart.

UPDATED: JUL 14, 2014 Drunk 13/07/14 at home while watching tv. pours fizzy and clear with a small pink head. aroma surprised me. it wasnt just raspberries- more like a swiss roll with jam and cream. you can taste the lambic tartness, with a slight barnyard funk. although it could have done with more dryness so it doesnt feel as much like fizzy juice. overall it was decent tho

Poured appropriately in a classic McDonaldís Fantasia tumbler, because after all this pours a clear purple with purple white head that disappears nothing. Itís soda pop! Lots of berry fruit taste. Some sour apples, raspberry, bitter grapes. Some sweet and sour. This beer is only Meh. Too much berry not enough lambic for me. When I accidently knocked over the whole thing I was more upset about busting the glass than the beer.

Bottle from Harvest Market Pours a slightly murky reddish brown color with a decent sized off white heads that dissipates rather quickly. Aromas of raspberry jam, a hint of molasses, and a bit of earthy funk. The flavor Is lightly tart from the fruit with lots of berry flavor. Hints of dark caramelized sugars with a touch of citric tartness and earthy funk. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Decent enough brew, but I felt it could have had more of a pucker factor.
