COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Framboise Boon is a traditional Belgian Lambic fruit-beer. It is brewed according to the traditional Lambic style of spontaneous fermentation. Only fresh raspberries (25%) and wildcherries (5%)are used for this Lambic beer. Framboise Boon is the missing link between beer and wine and is served chilled in flute glasses. NO artificial sweeteners, flavourings, preservatives or colouring agents. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name.

Fairly deep, clear red colour with no head and almost no carbonation. Lots of raspberry in the aroma. Neither overly sweet nor sour. Light tang in the finish. Natural fruity taste.

Bottled. Lots of times. I still wonder how i missed this one.
In short: nice fruit lambic.
Pours deep amber-reddish with nice pinkish head. Short head retention, poor lacing. Framboise, cheeries, tart aromas. Light body, high carbonation, crsipy texture. Taste is moderate tart, fruity, some residual sweetness, dry aftertaste. Quite enjoyable.

375 ml bottle. Pours a reddish brown haze with a small white head. Aromas of tangy raspberry jam. Taste is tart raspberry and sweetness. Syrupy mouthfeel, tart on the tongue with a medium to long finish. Refreshing but a little too sweet for my tastes.

Vintage 2013. Amber color with a surprising amount of brown in it, head goes down quickly. Aroma is raspberry, very fruity, including the sweetness. Some funk and wood, but it is very well-mixed into the raspberry character. Taste is lightly sweet, raspberry fruitiness, a delicate tartness, some more oak, maybe some other berries. Carbonation is present but fine-bubbled and it feels soft, it just gives the right kick. This mouthfeel is incredible, gets an extra point on the palate for this although the kick in the back is not the strongest. Lightly sweet, lightly tart, refreshing. Everything about this beer is on the rather light side, but it works!

Poured from a 2013 375ml bottle. Aroma is moderately fruity with nice raspberry notes. Light oak character. Some light barnyard funk with a bit of an earthy, herbal note. Some light citrus and tropical fruit notes. Pours a slightly cloudy, reddish purple with a medium sized, fairly thick, slightly pink head that recedes to a thin film that lingers. Flavor has a light sweetness with a medium tartness. Some moderate raspberry notes with a light barnyard funk. A bit of tropical fruit and citrus. Light oak note. Decent complexity, but it is lacking some of the deeper barnyard funk that other framboise have. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied and slightly watery with medium carbonation. Low astringnecy and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright framboise and better than a lot of American ones, but it lacks the complexity I desire from he Belgian ones. A bit too fruity and sweet without enough funk.

Brownish red color with a thin, but staying foam layer. Fruity smell with raspberry, blackberry and a diffuse forest fruit variety. The taste is smooth with a lot of a fruit flavors. Light sour, lightly carbonated and a blackberry taste layer over everything else. Dry and fruity lasting aftertaste.
