3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 8/20
Incredible and authentic raspberry red color when served in chilled fluted glass. Aroma is acidic, fruity and very distinctly raspberry. Powerful tart raspberry flavor with no artificial sweetness. Oak flavor is subtle at first but more prominent in aftertaste. Champagne-like fizz works beautifully with crisp flavor for a very appealing mouthfeel.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours hazy reddish with a medium pink head. Aroma initially has quite some lambic, barn and tartness, but after a while it gets more sweet with quite some raspberry. Taste is sweet with raspberry, red fruits, slight tartness and a bit of barn. Medium body and medium to high carbo. Quite smooth mouthfeel.

UPDATED: JUL 30, 2013 Bottle with 9-27-2016 enjoy by date, enjoyed July 29, 2013. Pours a pretty deep red color with a small pink head. Aroma of sour vinegar and raspberries, with a bit of yeasty funk to boot. Flavor is up front raspberry with a twinge of sourness. Lingering yeast and raspberry. High carbonation and relatively light mouthfeel. Always love more raspberry, but overall a refreshing sour here. Not bad, but after a bit there is a strange unpleasant funk left in my mouth. I dunno what it is, I am new to lambics.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
2011 bottle, split at JF’s - thanks James, 19/07/13.
Clear cherry red with a good sized crimson/pink frothy head. Good lacing follows.
Nose is lightly soured raspeberries, burnt grass, sugar, ripe berry fruits.
Taste comprises tarte berry compote, soured raspberry fool, farmy notes, touch of fruity dry rot.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation lending towards a crisp and refreshing finish.
Ok fruit lambic, good for the price point but lacks depth compared to the top of the class examples.

Bottle @ a recent bottle share... I can’t believe I have never had this before. Big, fresh raspberry notes with wood and mild musky yeast notes. Some acidity but most of the tartness seemed to come from the berry flavors. Dark cherry skins towards the finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is raspberries as one would expect. The flavor is somewhat sweet and a hint of sourness with some tart raspberries. This has some wine like characteristics to it. Overall not as aggressive as many lambics but very good and drinkable on this hot day in Atlanta.
