Framboise Boon is a traditional Belgian Lambic fruit-beer. It is brewed according to the traditional Lambic style of spontaneous fermentation. Only fresh raspberries (25%) and wildcherries (5%)are used for this Lambic beer. Framboise Boon is the missing link between beer and wine and is served chilled in flute glasses. NO artificial sweeteners, flavourings, preservatives or colouring agents. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name.

Rating #4000. Amber-brown, unfiltered body. Opens with a mini-pop...lacks much carbonation, some soda head persists. Big natural raspberry flavors are quite nice, but this isnít cutting it for a lambic..I donít really get any sour tones at all. The cherry tones are apparent once Iíve been enlightened to their existence. Seems to have really suffered from age, no vivacious liveliness. Still an enjoyable beverage, but hard to rate it high. I would still drink this every day of my life. Equal parts raspberry juice and beer. This is what lambic tasted like in the 90s.

1/20/2014. 750 ml. corked and caged bottle. Pours clear red with a short pink head. Aromas are all yeast and raspberry. Not as tart as I would have expected, but with nice fruit flavors and a bitter finish.

Mooi van kleur. Je ruikt duidelijk frambozen. Zurig van smaak, je proeft framboos en water. Lekkere nasmaak.

Bb: 23, Feb 2014 A: Pours a maduro brown with hints of cherry tones. Single finger, light pink foam cap falls in a few minutes leaving a thin sheet of the same. Hazy at best. No lacing. S: Raspberry, vitamin, mineralic qualities. A near cough syrup smell, but sweeter. Light and airy on the nose. T: Raspberries are the highlight, plenty of tartness, not too overbearing. Hints of the yeast at the very, very finish. Iím having a difficult time articulating everything Iím tasting here. M: medium to heavy mought feel with moderate carbonation. Leaves the mouth with a slight dryness. O: The flavor of the beer is excellent, and it avoids the artificial sweetness I taste in lindemanís. Good beer. I wonder what would happen with a year or two on it. Serving type: bottle 04-13-2011

Bottle - Pours rosy brown with next to no head. Nose is seedy raspberries, fairly dry and mineral, but very pungent. Taste is seedy and jammy, medium dry and minerally. A bit of oak, and very little funk. Medium body and very light carbonation.
