COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Framboise Boon is a traditional Belgian Lambic fruit-beer. It is brewed according to the traditional Lambic style of spontaneous fermentation. Only fresh raspberries (25%) and wildcherries (5%)are used for this Lambic beer. Framboise Boon is the missing link between beer and wine and is served chilled in flute glasses. NO artificial sweeteners, flavourings, preservatives or colouring agents. Brewed in Lembeek, the village that gave Lambic its name.

375 ml bottle, Vintage 2009, sampled November 2012. Hazy dark red colour with a minimal off-white head. Great aroma of sweet raspberries and acidity. Nice balance of sweet and sour in the flavour. It has a light body, quite creamy texture, soft cabonation and a dry raspberry finish. I would have like a bit more acidity and less sweetness. This is nevertheless a very tasty beer.

Red, pink head; straightforward raspberry aroma and taste; slightly sweet; dry finish; less tart and in your face than other similar beers I’ve tasted and all the better for it; I’m still trying hard to ’get’ the whole lambic thing though.

Murky raspberry dark red in the glass, lots of bubbles, no head. Nose is sour yeast, sherbet, strong raspberry. Very sour and tart with a minimally fruity background. Very light bodied, a little fizzy. The finish is surprisingly long. Prefer these slightly sweeter, but a nice lambic.

2011. Bouteille 375 ml. Bonne rondeur. Un peu de carbonatation. Finale modérément sèche.

20-OCT-2012, bottle @Ulkløbben, @Ole. Red bordering on brick red with no head. Aroma is fresh raspberries, some funk. Taste is sweet raspberry and funk. Long tart finish, thin body, soft carbonation. Simple and a bit too sweet. Nice fruit drink but not nearly complex enough.

This is my first time really sitting down to review a lambic, despite sampling them before. This is a deep red witha foamy pink head, aroma is all raspberries. Taste is pretty much entirely raspberry with a little tartness but lots of sweetness. Not tasting much in the way of yeast, but it’s a nice drink!

375 ml bottle. Pours deep pink slightly opaque with almost no head. Aroma is all raspberry, very little funk actually makes it through all this raspberry, smells pretty good though. Taste is tart, but more from the raspberry juice than actual lambic. Very, very fruity. Too sweet for a fruit lambic IMO but I enjoyed drinking this quite a bit nonetheless.
