A lovely beer with a nice smell of rasberries and a little bit of caramel. I find it better than the Kriek. But I also like raspberries more than cherries.

Eh. Deep reddish-purple, looking like a vaguely foamy Rioja. Scent is somewhat muted, berries are not particularly prevalent. Flavor is mildy tart, with a slightly toasted biscuit finish. Probably not fair to compare this to Lindemann’s, but that’s how it goes. Nowhere near as good.

Aged 5 years at the time of sampling. Red-brown. Aroma of over-ripe raspberries, balanced sweetness. Portwine flavour.

Rosy pinkish-red color. Intensely sweet raspberry aroma, with fine-beaded carbonation and a decent, decidedly un-fluffy head. Just a bit of non-filtered particles, which quickly settled, leaving a clear brew. Some very woody flavors here, mixed with, of course, some sour raspberry flavors. Not as sweet as Lindeman’s, but not as tart either. Acidity is present, but not overly so. Somewhat light in body, and aftertaste has just a tiny dash of hops. Effervescent. Hmm. I think I like Lindeman’s better, personally, but this is still tasty.

Raspberry and vinegar nose with a raspberry tart (vinegar-free, thankfully) flavor. High carbonation. Not quite up to par with Lindeman’s.

Very smooth raspberry taste. Not overly sweet but not too fruity. Sadly it finished with a slight vinegar aftertaste, although still good with desert.

Less thick than Lindeman’s framboise, and which of the two is better is a matter of personal preference. This one is certainly zippier, though, and is the one that might be enjoyed with dessert as a beer rather than a topping. Refreshingly sour.

Raspberry taste was strong, but not overpowering. I also had the 5% version.

a cheeky light fruity number with plenty of body. don’t go near if you are adverse to raspberry. the sour notes hit the back of your tongue like a sledgehammer. my mates thought it was a pile of piss!
