Raspberry lambic was once a rarity and only produced for a few weeks during the summer. Frank Boon was the first brewer to again prepare a raspberry lambic in the summer of 1976. More than 300 grams per liter of fresh raspberries give Framboise Boon a fresh fruity taste. The young lambic supports the flavor. But this is very much about raspberries, not the lambic. Of course we do not use artificial flavorings, only real raspberries. Boon Framboise has an alcohol volume of 5%. Drink it when it is young.

Vintage 2004. Graet deep-red color, copperisch and with a warm orange glow. Nice white, slight pinkish head leaving a fine lacing. Very fruity and expressive aroma with hints of sweet apple, red forrest berries, cherries, mullberries and overripe raspberries. It also has touches of musty tree bark, sous bois, some mint, old bourgundy wine, nectarine peaches and refreshing hops in the nose. The taste is fruity and keeps a good balance between sweet fruits (Berries, apples, and ripe stonefruits) the herbal bitters and the complex earthy accents. The afthertaste is very tastefull and the beer has a nice soury crispyness that counters the sweetness of the ripe red fruits and the refreshing herbalness of the well dosed hops. It has a great potential to age.

W aromacie dużo słodkich malin. W smaku słodyczy nie ma ani trochę, kwaśność umiarkowana, zdecydowanie owocowa.

Pours deep red, pinkish foam good retention. Nose and taste is overwhelmingly raspberry. I think no other beer of this style has that much raspberry aroma from fresa berries. I miss however the Lambic component which is vague and almost non distinct. The vintage rated here i 2013 there may be difference between vintages.

Ljusröd. Tydlig doft av hallongodis. Lätt i smaken med hallon och lite lite syra. Snäll lite för mycket saft ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Taste: Raspberries, tart, funk, cherries, earth, grapes. Mouthfeel is light tart raspberries. More sweet than sour. Medium body with a fruity, light tart finish. Enjoyed this sweet, fruity refreshing brew very much. Ideal for these summer days...
